Tuner works on other images and on laptop

what i ment to say was doing as i advise will show if the stick is actually working in vix or not

we need to determin if this is a driver issue or just a scanniong issue

I have just wiped the box again and will try again, though I think its more a module issue.

all the modules are controlled by the main kernel module, it installs what it needs (apart from firmware). not sure why it is not scanning. this why we need driver devs in our team, but know one is willing to join us. i am sorry but can't help. i just don't have the time or know how to help in driver related stuff. i have too much to do, in other areas. i am the sole coder here.

i will ask again if anyone knows drivers and is will to join the team then i need your help.

Got a PCTV Nano 290e DVB-T2 this week all working fine for me using em28xx drivers on a et9000

How did you instal the device? i turned of the box first then plugged in the PCTV Nano 290e DVB-T2 restarted the box then went to plugins and installed the driver pack em28xx package and restarted the box (i also got the fatal error warning at the end of installation but the device still works)

after the box has restarted you need to set up tuner C like the image in fig 1

then go to tuner config and select tuner C and select complete scan as shown in fig 2 should take a few min to do a full scan

Thanks for all your efforts and the excellent work you and your team do.
I suppose thats the draw of Linux boxes - you have to learn them....
Ill have to investigate further.....
Is it a case of just getting the Linux drivers for new Linux Kernel

Im stumped to then m8 the only thing i can suggest is try a fresh image instal with no backup settings and trying the package once more time

just a thought but make sure you select DVB-T and not DVB-C, long shot but i thought it worth mentioning.

the firmware file in post 14 is correct for yr device

can you try this

add the firmware file in post 14 to

lib/firmware

and also only add one file from bellow if that dont work they the other

but at each try do as post 14 with the 2 files you will need to fresh flash at each go

so in other words one try will be files

xc3028-v27.fw
drxd-a2-1.1.fw


and the second try will be

xc3028-v27.fw
drxd-b1-1.1.fw

here is a different firmware you can try its the same chipset just a different varient so its possible this is yr chipset
