[ViX_Misc] MusicPlayer

[Rob van der Does]

As you probably all know, the ViX-MediaPlayer (accessible via the list of recordings, and activated by a single OK-click), lacks one important functionality: decent MP3-playback.
See what you think about the attached YAMP (Yust Another Music Player)-plugin; if you like it, we can add it to the feeds.

Installed it, went to plugins and got "some plugins are not available:Extensions YampMusicPlayer (no module named mutagen.easyid3

yep same here on the ultimo ViX 2.4-135 with the ViX Day HD skin.

to remove the plugin FTP to

/usr/lib/enigma2/python/Plugins/Extensions/

delete the YampMusicPlayer folder and reboot the box.

Strange: I installed it on two boxes (both on ViX 2.4-135), had no problems and the player works fine.

same error for me too...but the player seems to support covers which would be great to have a jukebox style for the Duo..do you have any screenshots?

Yamp (Yet Another Music Player) plugin requires the Python packages mutagenic and twisted.

[Tkr001]

So how does one get those?

[Rob van der Does]

I installed this plugin and it works out of the box. So I presume that the packages you apparently are missing are already installed on my boxes (by other plugins??).

If you have TSpanal installed you will find them under "NewEnigma2 addons"

[Tkr001]

Don't have Tspanel and can't find it in the downloadable plugins either.

yep worked perfectly once i managed to find them in the ts panel.

Attached a modified version: now all needed packages should be installed automatically. Please give this one a try.
