[VU+ Uno] Newbie

Hello guys. I need your help to understand VU+ Uno I get for 3 days ago. I have done below from beginning
- I have installed "New Image (V7.0) Released" from

http://www2.vuplus.com/image-release

- From plugins, I have upgraded FPGA, but it looks like that upgrade not succeeded. Download was succeeded, and receiver restarted normal, no indication of upgrade on display. How can I see that upgrade is done?
- Then I done automatic channel scan from Turksat 42 east. It took 1 hour to finish. How can I fix it?
- why is standard channel list empty? How to fix it?

Do you have any guide to setup Vu+ uno

also where did you buy the unit from? and how much was it? ( euros )

Hello again. I gave 293 €, and Iam from Denmark. It schould not be clone

I would hope not hope its not a clone, as far as images go, here we would recomend the latest VIX image, as said in my earlier post, I am a bit tired, so cant offer intensive advice

but it quite easy to get the unit working with the VIX 3 image

I have just installed VIX 3 image, but channel scan take very loooooong time, so I interrupt it. Schould I install below drivers first and afterwards make channel scan?

to use these drivers open the relevant archive using winrar

now navigate to
lib/modules/2.6.18-**/extra
on your box
backup the files in this folder first then overwrite them with the ones that you download, there should be four files in total.

or just wait for these to be incorporated into the VIX image.

if you go menu/plugins/green button...( download plugins )..then select "SETTINGS"...here in the UK, many find the CATSEYE listings best, but select a channel list that suits your needs,

as far as reading the above goes,,,ask tomorrow in the day, more help will be available, tech advice from myself at the moment might of of poor quality

Channel scans can take some time especially if there are load of channels, on my DUO it normally took about 30mins on 28.2E, but in these days of pre made bouquets, why bother with it, just down load one of the pre made lists and delete unwanted sats

My vu+ uno found 460 channels+radio from Turksat 42 east and scantime was 1 hour. It is not normal, because my previous receiver DM600 found them in 20-25 min.
