Cool. I didn't realise that. I kinda assumed that everything had been hard coded into the binary. Will give it a try later this evening.

No mate, the ABM plugin like all ViX / OE-Alliance plugins is fully opensource for others to use and adapt to their needs.

Yes. It worked perfectly!

Ha. Now that assumes I'm competent with Python and compiling Python :confused:
Any guidance / web links greatly appreciated!

What change made it work as I already have the swap channel in place?

Ok. To be clear, I still can't get STV HD in EPG position 103, but I can now get the HD channel swap to work, whilst leaving STV SD in position 103. Not perfect, but a lot better than having nothing in position 103. Remember, this only applies to 'All Channels' bouquet, as this is the only bouquet that the HD channels swap works on.

I'm assuming you can browse files on your sat box, and copy these to and from your PC. If not, you'll need to do a bit of research into using FileZilla (or similar FTP program).

You need to edit the file skyuk.xml (I use Notepad++ on my PC to do this) which is located at /usr/lib/enigma2/python/Plugins/SystemPlugins/AutoBouquetsMaker/providers
and remove the following line:

Code:
<channel number="178" with="103" />

Simple as that!

Hi guys

Just started using ABM on my Solo2 box, very neat plugin. One annoying issue though is that is fails to list all the HD channel listings under the individual sections i.e. Sky UK - HD Channels (Kids, Documentaries and a couple others are missing) but when I go into the individual sections i.e. Sky UK - Kids they are listed. Is this a known bug at the moment?

Using the latest vix build 600 and set ABM to do a daily scan at 1AM in the morning scanning Sky HD London region.
Keep up the good work guys and thanks.

except if you disagree that this plugin was created by vix, it was not and never will be a vix creation dress it up but not vix :)

Is it possible I could set my region to Ireland and then hack skyuk.xml so that if the region is Irish, replace the regional bouquet I actually want? E.g.

<filter bouquet="0x1008" region="0x32" />

to:

<filter bouquet="0x1005" region="0x32" />

So if it's region 0x32 (Ireland) pull Bouquet 0x1005? Not sure it's that simple though, there's bound to be issues :). I'm still after Setanta basically.

hi is there anyway that this plugin can be used to update users own bouquets ordered channels at all or can be in future?

no the plugin wont touch any preexisting bouquets on the receiver, it builds its own.

Guys I think I may have asked this before but I am not sure and if I did I havent had a resolution yet so if anyone can hep it would be appreciated.

I have have the latest Vix builds running on both my Solo2 and my Ultimo. I like to use cateseye settings for my Euro channels and have ABM genereate my UK channels. I downloaded the Catseye settings from Vix plugins direct to the box. No problem and settings work. I then run ABM but when its done all that is in Favourites is the set generated by ABM, the Catseye settings are gone from FAVs. Thechannels are still there in the all channels and providers lists but not in Favs. This has happened on older builds too and on the latest. I have checked by downloading other settings from Vix Plugins and they all seem to work correctly, they are dropped in below the settings generated by ABM. As said the Catseye settings are definitely in there somewhere as the option to download them disappears from the Settings to download from Vix server, presumably coz it recognizes they are already on my box.

Thanks.

Try it with the Vhannibal, not sure why it would do that for you but I use ABM and Vhannibal motor set and it works fine never overwrites.

might be worth posting your ABM setup.

thanks stan,

thats the thing everything works as it should with any of the other settings off the vix plugins/settings downloads. The ABM settings will be there with Vhannibal dropped in below. it just happens with the catseye download.

My ABM is set for sky irl with Ni Hd selected. If it was only happening on one box i thought it maybe was a file corruption or sonething i have done but its like on both the solo2 and the ultimo.

Maybe someone could try theirs the same. Download catseye from server and then run ABM and see if its the same result as im getting.

Just back to using ABM maker again and everything working like a dream with the sky irl and sky uk. One question I set a schedule scan to weekly, but it scans every day. I do power off box every night

After today's changes, I'm now getting BBC Alba on 101 and BBC2 SD still on 102, with London HD Region selected, and HD Swap enabled. Is there an update available to add BBC2 HD on 102 and restore BBC1 HD to 101?
