Is ondemand plugin for bbc/itv working okay for anyone this evening, specifically if you are in Ireland?

Just getting vix spinner and then it times out!

Got new upc broadband router and not sure if this is first time we used ondemand plugin since we got it!
Does anyone know if there are specific ports it uses and they might need to be opened? (running a different broadband configuration than before, hence the question)

Both are working fine here, also in Ireland..

Did you check in the debug logs what exactly is happening?

Thks for that, just needed confirmation it was working.
Suspect its to do with new router setup - cannot stream from cricfree either.

Sorted. Had my own router in dmz with upc router. just took it out and all working.:thumbsup:

I am running V3.0.666 on Vu+Solo2 and bought my box over to Spain. I can't get BBC iplayer, ITV player or C4 players to work as it being blocked beacause I am outside the UK. My understanding is anti GEO blocking is built into the plugin or have I got this wrong?

Any help or advise would be appreciated, thanks in advance.

yes OnDemand does have code to get around the GEO blocking for the UK players as pointed out in the posts above mine.

what if ant errors are you getting ??.

Sounds more of a connection issue although as Pheonix has pointed out without telling us the error or posting logs hard to see what the issue is. Have you reset your network connections since bringing your box to Spain. Have you dhcp enabled in network settings or manual static ip. Can you check an active network connection is on your box

Appreciate your help. The error message I get is “Non UK and No Limelight, No Playable Streams for the name for program selected” I have reset network, dhcp is enabled, also checked network and is working ok.

I am runing network connection through homeplug 85Mbps could this be the problem?

OnDemand Crash in Spain

I have reflashed box and done a complete clean reinstall, but still BBC iplayer, ITV player and 4 on Demand do not work. However 3 Player does work.

Do so via Menu --> Applications --> Green --> Extensions --> OnDemand --> Yes

Curiously I am having the same problem. BBC video's display in list with thumbnails, but when i play one, the duration stays stuck at 00:00. The other VOD providers built into the plugin that I have tried work fine (e.g ITV). Nothing crashes so I dont have any logs to go on.

I have tried the following to fix the issue, without success:

- Pausing and playing, fast forwarding, jumping forward 1 minute
- Uninstalling and re-installing OnDemand plugin
- Updating Vix
- Setting various bit rates as default
- Disabling and re-enabling providers one by one

I am on the following version, in the UK:

Kernel version: 3.1.1
Firmware version: 3.0.678
Gui version: 2013-06-04
Build: 678

The search function is working fine for me.

When using search on the iplayer the blue button will change between upper and lower case, is there anyway of changing this to be used as a space? or is there a button that I've missed for creating a space?
