Never realised that tunlr dns servers had changed a few months ago, so all makes sense now.
Tested bbc on my pc and had to go to tunlr site to get address, but never noticed the first item in 'Recent News'
Edited addr and all seems to be working.

Im online via my phone at the moment so cant do any thing, but If you post up the new dns address here ill update the git when I get a chance to power the laptop up later, if no one else beats me to it that is.

Looks like the older addresses where only switched off in the last couple of days.

Please make sure you’re using the current DNS IP addresses. We changed them months ago but quite a few folks are still using the outdated 142.54.177.158 DNS resolver. If you still see 142.54.177.158 in your DNS configuration you should take a look at our get-started pages. The outdated DNS resolver has been taken offline.

yeah mate, i have updated the GIT with the new DNS server address, it will be in the next image build from 703 or 704 or can be updated manually as described in the updates thread.

Tried to install this from the plugin menu the other day, didn't seem to make any difference.Went into On demand and couldn't find any Command py files just pyo. Must be missing something.Are these files somewhere else in the extensions?

py files there and followed the instructions and now have bbc and itv both working,which will please my wife who needs her Coronation streeet fix.

Thought there was something wrong as I had tunlr working through my laptop with a new DNS.

Update to my previous post.
Itv and 3player only work when the stream is normal.Do not work at high.
Some programs on itv will not play at all, they seem to be the game shows like The Chase or Tipping point
BBC works at high,haven't tried HD.

I have mine set to HD and everything seems to work ok

Although I must admit the mrs has only watched 1 program on iplayer and 1 on itv player

I've tried the fix but still not working for me (currently on build 702 VU+ Duo). FTP file to box, delete existing xxx.py/pyo files and Restart GUI.

FTP back into the box, only CommonModules file is the one Ftp'd across (.py). Fire up Ondemand and CommonModules.pyo gets created.
Watching anything OK in BBC/ITV players but still cant seek, and have to exit out.

Tried changing file permissions but still the same.

Tried previous image builds just to check it wasn't me, and it doesn't work in previously known working ones.
Removed and re-installed OnDemand plugin and applied fix. No change.

Any suggestions?

4od is broken because of changes ch4 have made to the way they stream the programs, this is going to be a exceptionally hard thing to fix, it it gets fixed at all that is. ITV i have no idea about are you using the latest version ?.

I have been talking to a good few owners of venton boxes who have all said that itv player doesn't work

Mine didn't work from the day I got it it refused to play past 2 minutes of a program

I posted a thread about it but was told it wasn't receiver specific but nobody knew what the problem was

I haven't heard anything

But when I did the above mentioned fix it played 1 program ok and have not used it since

I know it's been said over by a few members who are from within vix that it isn't receiver specific but I think there may well be an issue somewhere for venton users as every person I spoke to who had one said it didn't work and there was only a couple of reports from other recovers at the time

Obviously the address seems to have changed and that is what this fix is for but if the problem lies deeper for us venton owners I do not know as I am not technically minded enough to know about these things and just let the kind souls who do fix things as and when they have time and fixes are needed

Lets not forget it is done for FREE by these people for everybody else to enjoy

if it is venton specific and i for one dont for a second believe that to be the case, but if it is then only the manufacturer can resolve it via a driver update and no image team has the ability to create or control the production of drivers. That said and as i have already said i personally do not believe this to be a venton issue but thats just my personal opinion.

Like I said above haven't tested mine again but since the fix it seemed to be ok but won't know for sure until the mrs watches her fix of emmerdale lol

I have however had a different issue which I think I sort of found out why but would like to know if it supposed to happen which I will start a new thread about your input on that would be appreciated also

You wont be told will you All ready confirmed your ITV Player issue on the VU+ Duo2 and Xtrend ET9500 HERE Do you want it confirmed on more models before you start to believe my posts?

Think you should start listening to FACT instead of posting nonsense. How else do you want it proved? Do you think I'm making things up and posting tests for the fun of it all??
