Would it not make sense that before the 2nd simultaneous recording started, the box automatically changed to that channel?

Oddly enough that's exactly what happened last night. So maybe I'd screwed the other image up with all my playing around.

Prior to using ViX I was a big fan of open PLi, so decided to flash the latest PLi and see what that was like. All my freezing stopped, but after using ViX since it's release, PLi seemed well kind of old, even after spending ages downloading various plugins etc, I decided it simply wasn't a patch on ViX.

Do you know what the biggest thing I didn't like about it?

It was when I installed the latest version of your plugin, both I and my wife looked at it and said "No, that's horrible" going back to ViX.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not knocking the work you've done with cooltvguide, I'm simply saying the guys at ViX have tweaked it/rewritten parts or whatever, don't really care what they've done to it or how much of your (open source) code they've used, end result is their version is far far far superior and user friendly.

You should be pleased they've taken something you've created and improved on it, not throw a hissy fit like a 3 year old.

Im currenty using the CoolTvGuide on a PLi image on a DM800 box and it takes around 15 to 20 seconds to open. I am also using the CoolTVGuide on the Vix 1.2 image and it opens straight away so i can only say that whatever the VIX team have done have made a big improvement on this plugin!!

but at all other Boards the Cool TV Guide are open in 1-2 sec...

my Box with VTI Image open in less then 1 sec !!!

what you think.. when the code from Dream was soooo quick and good...

you don't think i would copy it in my plugin ???

have to agree with what most people have said here. reluctantly i had to go back to pli for 2 days due to ccam restarting prob which turning off autostart now temporarily resolves. it is truly not a patch on vix image from epg to cool tv guide vix is superior. and yes cool tv guide takes about 5/6 seconds just to open after pressing it so whatever andy has done it is far superior if for that alone! so truly i think coolman should take andys code on board and implement and not take it as an insult that he has been able to improve what needed improving. keep up the good work andy.

hi subservices is not allocated to a default button in vix but simply install multiquickbutton which is located in plugin downloads on this site and restart enigma and it will be on green button. or you can then change it to any button you wish

important is the speed at the end of the day...
and no user is interested who has chance or what has changed...

but i think we have more potential in this bouquet code...
and Dream must have a ground why they change and now they begin with class...
but the rest of the Bouquet code they made not the best...
so here is the potential to make it better...

we already have worked together , i have no problems doing so again, i don't like to argue, once i have sorted out my current image problems (that why i have not contact Coolman recently, just to much going on) i would love to get these sorted out once and for all.

you seem to be like me, get caught up in the moment, blow off steam then calm down and realise, i was a bit OTT, , but sure if you are up for it, lets work together and make CoolTVGuide the best dam EPG plugin out their for ALL images. i just need a few more days on our image to tidy up a few things, then i will contact you, could you pm your email addy to me. i will need to get back up to speed in what you have done recently i have not has time to keep on top of your plugin.

as for copyright as others have stated the only way to keep your code from been copied and use without your permission is not to release the source code, that why i have not supplied our image main plugins source coded in the image. as Enigma2 is open source there is nothing you can do to stop people using/modifying it without your permission once the source code is out there. as you can't copyright anything that uses open-source in it code. that just the way it is.

Yes absolutly right DMM made enigma2 and its open source so they have no right over the overall code and that is why other teams are giving it a bash and trying to improve on it. the only difference is DMM is trying to buy out teams to stop the takeover as the teams are getting better than DMM themselves and they cant do anything as its open source. But we here at Vuplus-Support and the VIX team believe that we can work as a team make things work better improve on the code and bring out a better and more efficiant image.

Personally if i was you and i had made cooltv and VIX or anyone decided to use my code and improve on it then i would not rant and threat infact i would be honered that my code was used and was improved on and then i would ask to be part of the team to help.

Here what you have shown has been pure rage and selfishness towards what i call a good little EPG plugin you designed [dont get me wrong cooltv is good] the only difference is VIX improved on it in our opinion [and again that is our opinion maybe not yours but opinions are free].

So please all i request from you is before going off to war like ghengis khan think about what was done and what can be done and how to make a better resolution to the situation

Yes he was and as i said in a earlier post to coolman the way he vented that rage was wrong not the fact he did it. also you need to read andys post explaining that they have worked together in the past so again his way of going about it was wrong he should have contacted an admin directly. and nobody did or try to billitle his efforts in fact that is an apraisial of his efforts that ppl want to use it instead of making there own. The other think yes i do represent the site and thread as an avid member and i support the teams efforts that go on in the background. i am not privy to anything secret i know as much as you do and no more but i show my apriciation to the efforts. And i only was upset at coolmans attitude that made me speak out. and for the record if this situation happened in in any other circumstances then as a human being ith emotions i would have still spoken out

About the CCcam restart issue... There is indeed a problem with the new Softcam Manager and its function that checks every 30 minutes if the cam is active, and NOT with CCcam itself. Here's my cam.check.log:

You can see that the new Softcam Manager, althought it sees that CCcam is running, for some reason it thinks it's frozen and restarts it. Anyway to disable this?

Btw, did anyone have any issues with other cams, or CCcam is the only one with the "freezing" problem?

And one other thing... With the new version 1.2, restarting of enigma2 also restarts active cam, which IMO should not be done!

Anyway, this is a great image and I really applause the guys behind it. Keep up the good work!!!

i must admit andy i'm using cccam 2.1.4 and vix 1.2 from day of release and mine has not stoped once or atleast i have not noticed it to stop btw where is that log i'll look a mine too

silverfox, andy this issue only arises with autostart enabled. otherwise it works fine. i know i do not have allow telnetinfo set to no nor indeed have i set usernames or passwords for telnetinfo

I posted another solution on page 18.

Btw, completely disabling a basic function for a rarely or never used plugin is a big mistake from vix team. I hope they will fix it in the next version.
