I feel i need to bring up the Glitching problem again ! When watching recordings i get constant glitches and the occasional seize up ! Now i have done all the online updates but to no avail ? I updated online from VIX 1.1 when you first released this image and everything went well so im a bit stumped now, any input to fix this would be appreciated.

I must admit I've not been able to get any glitching issues from recordings. I never upgraded 1.1, I flashed 1.2 as a fresh install the updated.

Ahh maybe that will be my next stop then ? I will try that later today once i have backed up everything.

vix 1.2 320 gb hdd plugged into the USB on the back does not show in Device Manager. But the 320 gb hdd plugged into port USB Device Manager shows. vix 1.1 did not have the problem.

You could try doing error checking on the disk?!

Btw, completely disabling a basic function for a rarely or never used plugin is a big mistake from vix team. I hope they will fix it in the next version.

In your opinion it is a rarely or never used plugin. The same as in other people's opinions the sub services is a rarely or never used function... Especially since the channels can be added to bouquets (or at least could, so I imagine they still would be able to be?!), so the subservices isn't really that necessary?!

Fakat 8gb flash dısk calısıyor. Sorun yok.

So you tried a 2.5" and 3.5" both externally powered hdds in the rear usb port and it doesn't work?

So, is the hdd visible in the device manager? Can you take a screen shot when you go to menu -> Setup -> VIX -> Device Manager. This is what I get, 1 x 2tb sata hdd with 2 x 1tb partitions and 1 32gb usb stick with 1 x 400mb swap partition and 1 x 31.5gb partition (swap partition doesn't show in the device manager):

If you can see your 320gb usb, then go to the mounts button (red), and assign it /media/hdd...

My english is bad.
Hdd not appear in the Menu-vix-device managır 320. Device manager empty, nothing visible.

silverfox, andy this issue only arises with autostart enabled. otherwise it works fine. i know i do not have allow telnetinfo set to no nor indeed have i set usernames or passwords for telnetinfo

can you open a telnet session and type the following

grep 'TELNETINFO LISTEN PORT' /etc/CCcam.cfg | grep -v '#'| awk  -F'[:]' '{print $2}'

and then

echo info|nc 127.0.0.1 [B][I]port[/I][/B] | grep Welcome | awk '{print $1}'

replace port with the result from the first command

Modifications. seems to have the usb on the entrance. But the back of the usb does not display.

There are ten entries in Device Manager on the usb hdd. Device Manager does not display the rear usb hdd is empty.

what size usb hdd do you have and what file system is it linux divides the ysb into 2gb blocks if in fat32 try mounting usn to media/hdd2 or medi /hdd if it only 1 drive you have then initialise it as linux ext3 if its larger than 2gb
