At the moment at least in Germany and Finland T2 tuner is available for VU+ STB`s. What I have learned from comments it only operates at the moment with BlackHole images. What about OpenViX? I may receive this T2 Tuner next week. (or several of those for my DUO2 and Ultimo). So I would like to know in advance what is the current situation with ViX.

Support for that tuner (in fact for any build-in tuner) is in the VU-drivers and has been added quite some time ago.
All images use the same drivers.

But does version 808 include for example VU+ DUO2 drivers from 30.12.2013?

No, because 808 was released before that date. But T2-support was added to drivers quite some time ago.
And if you want to, you can easily install other drivers yourself.

I`ve don it already. We will see the situation next week when I receive the tuners. By the way. Someone was complaining not having these tuners in UK. So please advice your sponsor about the thing. It seems they are not very well uptdated.

Got my DVB T,T2,C internal tuner and installed it in my Vu+Ultimo.
Scanning channels doesn't spot T2/HD-channels in Sweden. I wonder if it really is T2-tuner in spite of its marking or do I need a special driver for it?

I emailed the sponsor beginning of the week about T2 tuners, and if would be stocking them, but so far had no reply

Have you received your internal DVB-T2-tuner and does it work?
I have received one. It is a Samsung-product with a label that indicates it is for T2 but it doesn't detect T2-channels in my Vu+Ultimo in Sweden. My antenna signal is ok because I get everything in my TV-set with T2-tuner.

Problem solved.
I downloaded the driverset from 06.03.2014, inserted them in /lib/modules/3.1.1/extra and restarted the receiver. Then I could configure the manual scan for T2-channel by selecting System DVB-T2. That was not possible with the old driverset.
Now it works!

I got a private message pointing the source for new drivers.
I suppose the drivers will be updated in the next Vix-update.

yes, there already in the new image.

Hi
I have a new internal DVB-T2-tuner and it does not find T2 chanels, in my Vu+Ultimo. It is a Samsung-product with a label VU+, and label says T2, but it doesn't detect T2-channels in my Vu+Ultimo in Finland.

I'm trying to look for Finland Digita T2 multiplexes. I have Ultimo with Vix Zeus, built 07, Finland Digita Lapua broadcasting station, channel 24/498 mHz (Digita Map Service)
The signal is fine, because I can see Finland Digita T2 chanels with my Samsung TV, and there signal meter says excelent. T can find all normal digital channels, if I use searching, automatic.

But, T2 chanels
In the broadcasting station selection I can not be found Lapua, I can be found for example: Icelan, Scandinavia, Helsinki, Turku, Tampere, Kuopio, and of course a lot of other European destinations.
I tried all six locatins mentioned by name. I choose the T2 channel, one chanel search, the search frequency I shoud use is 498000, all other automatic position, network search no. I press search:
- The channel finding, searching begins from channel 21/474 mHz, not channel 24/498 mHz, and it ends to chanel 21
- The end result of zero channels found, because it does not shearch chanel 24

What can I do?

T2-channels are downloaded separately in manual scanning single transponder. Use settings System DVB-T2 and the channel nmbr/frequency of your local sender. You can use Scandinavia or Iceland as tuner configuration.

I understand that you have an internal tuner for DVB-T2. Be sure that your driver set is updated. New driver set can be inserted in /lib/modules/3.1.1/extra. I got the link for downloading here but I can't find it just now.

Hi
Thaks
Do you, rte, mean that vuplus-dvb-modules-vuultimo-3.1.1-4.4.3-20140306.tar.gz ?

Zeus build 007 has VU+ drivers 2014-03-18. Buy the way, this tuner has much better sensitivity and signal/noise ratio than earleir hybrid c/t with LG tunermodule.

DVB-T2 via SSH108 on OpenViX

The SSH108 tuner does not work for me on the Duo2 with Zeus 007. I tried installing the latest drivers manually etc. It is only recognised as a DVB-T module (and works as such), but does not seem to support DVB-T2. Am I doing something wrong?
