Hello today i finally decided that i was going to get ZEUS working properly on my solo2 and Upgrade from 808
i loaded Zeus 08 in and tried to set everything up, but i could not get ABM or cross EPG to load i kept getting Timeout for Tuner Lock, Services 0 Video 0 Radio
now i used to get this before when i was running 808 and i was advised to fit my cable in to tuner B and set A as a loop through i only have 1 cable feed from a sky box
it worked kind of i got all my Freeview channels but my Sky channels only showed the next 2 events and i lost something that i needed ;) so i reverted back to Tuner A and everything came back

now this is the strange bit - i have had to connect to Tuner B again and have Tuner A as a loop through and i get ABM & Cross EPG working great
i have all my sky and freeview channels but for some reason it dose not show them with the sky numbering sky sports 1-2-3 & 4 are 1255/56/57/58 all the way to Box nation that is 1287
i can not seem to get them any other way, if i set it as Alternative numbering mode in channel selection settings i get them as 1-2-3-4  any ideas

regards norm

Are you generating a main bouquet with all channels in it aswell as sections bouquets?

The chanenls are effectively in two bouquets.
1. The main numbering bouquet.
2. The individual bouquets.

The channels in the bouquets are a cumulative number of all chanenls.
In any case, pressing 501 will take you to 501 which is in the numbering bouquet. Hope that is understandabale.

P.S Freeview is only available through an aerial. There are Free to Air channels on satellite.

i think so judge their are so many options in the new zeus i am not really sure what setting are best - been trying difference permutations for the last 2 hours

just tried something,-- if i enter 414 i get BT Sports 2 but the ABM says that it is 1268 so if i type in 1268 i also get BT Sports 2 :p

i will get used to it and i have to say ZEUS 08 seems a lot faster than 808 all i need to remember is that the zap works on Releasing the BUTTON

to get more out of the box twin feeds would be better:)

that is going to be my next move, i have just got 20 meters of slingshot cable a Inverto Black Ultra twin LNB just waiting for the ladders to arrive
my dilemma is weather to just fit the Gibertini 85cm as a fixed Dish and just set it to 28.2, or fit the Dark motor Supreme as well but that would take longer to fit

Forgot to say, if you are using both freesat and sky, make sure sky is higher in providers section.

i have sky set above freesat in the Bouquets order, but i might re set the menu and try only sky feeds as when i go in to FreeSat all channels BBC1 is number 2101

one other question if you don't mind abu how would be the best way to set the motorized dish along with my sky fixed dish, as at the moment it is connected to tuner B and A is looped through to B

i may as well fit the twin inverto and i can fit the shot gun cable to the LNB for later and have the spare feed at the solo2 as i am seriously thinking of selling the Solo 2 and getting the Duo 2 :D

I have mine set up as one feed from the fixed sky dish and in tuner B and tuner A is from the motor. I have the tuner A set to usals and tuner B as second cable from motorised dish

I don't understand this: does your motorised LNB indeed have two outputs?
And what does the fixed dish have to do with this?

He was asking how u set up a motorised dish with a fixed sky dish. This is how I have mine set up. One feed from the motorised dish and 1 feed from the fixed dish

This is the guide to combining a motor and fixed dish on one tuner. Second tuner is not affected.

@nsw9154
There is the main bouquets which has all the channels. This is to have Sky like numbering. If you disable it, you will lose the sky numbering.

All these channels are also created into the other bouquets. Entertainment , sports, movies etc. If you have freesat as well, then more channels also to be addded

Roughly 1000 for the sky numbering bouquets
All the sky bouquets
The Freesat numbering bouquet
All the freesat bouquet

Don't worry about it. The numbering still works.

Thanks for the explanation abu i realize that the numbers will be different i am slowly getting used to it, i also have a virgin Tivo box in the front room but the wife uses that :smiley_yup:

This is my setup with regards to the tuners.

Best start another thread for it afterwards when you are ready.

Then please explain your setup completely.
Feed from LNB from motorised dish into tuner A this is set to usals. 28.2e fixed dish in tuner B I have this tuner set to second cable from motorised. The second cable is not from is not from motorised, I know it should be set to simple 28.2e but these settings have always worked fine for me so just left it as it is

They are obviously wrong. That would mean motorised dish will need to be pointing at 28.2 for it the fixed 28.2 tuner to function work. What happpens if/when you are recording something on a different satellite?
