Hi everyone... Since updating to Zeus my Solo2 box seems to hog my internet connection and kill my router (no internet at all), when doing an update.

I know 100% its my Solo2 because when I disconnect it from the back of my router I get internet again (I have a Sky router, the smily face turn back from yellow to white).

After my box does any updates during the night, I will wake up with no internet.

The previous image was fine, the only new thing I am using with Zeus is my Nline (I did use a Cline before).

Any idea on how to fix this?

Have you got mgcamd installed. I had same problem with that and had to remove it

Mgcamd is not the problem itself - its lazy people using config files from the web and not checking the settings in it. The problem usually is logging enabled to output to a non-existant ip address. Setting L to 0 solves the problem (assuming it is the problem in the first place)

Ronand.... I think I am one of those lazy people :-) changing the L to a 0, worked (I think). I did an update and it did not kill by router.

Thank you.

Added to that, too many people jumping to the wrong conclusion, blaming the image rather than their own setup.

I was not blaming the image. I was trying to workout if it was the image (as its new to me), the mgcamd (as it was new to me), or my setup for mgcamd..... It turned out to be my setup.

I am now wiser and a couple of days older. And I thank everyone for their help with this.

My mg_cfg file says: L: { 00 }
Is that correct?
Yes. that is fine.

Just to make it clear, nothing wrong with logging perse. The crucial thing is if enabled, the IP address must be correct. On some configs that you download, this is not the case.

Thanks for confirmation

I am updating/upgrading online but my vu+ solo2 box is stuck on "starting". I found that it is not showing on my virgin router, that is, it is not connected. I turn it off at the back and when I turn it back on it is still showing "starting". Please can someone help?

a) what version are you trying to upgrade from? Some previous versions require a Fresh Flash to stop the problem you are describing, download the latest image onto a reliable USB stick and flash from fresh.
b) if you flash from fresh and still can't boot with no settings restored you may have a clone...
