[VU+ Solo2] Is there a guide to Helios?

As the question above really, I've had a good search and couldn't find what I was looking for...

Is there a guide for upgrading to Helios from 023? I obviously know how to flash an image etc, but i read about being able to use existing settings and what have ya....

If someone could point me in the right direction please??

Hi,

You can restore back to your settings from zeus (not 808) if you done a back up prior to flashing.

do a back up.. then flash Helios.. it will ask if you want to use backup..say yes.... job done..

No guide as such but all you need to do is to make a settings backup with the backup manager
Blue button> ViX> backup manager.

Then install Helios with a USB stick and when asked in the setup wizard select yet to use your backup, ( choosing the one dated today ).

you should be done in under 8 minutes from start to finish.

Just tried it myself........big time saver but it didn't save the Skin I was using and
the bootlogo which I had also changed.

I'm not complaining.......just pointing out that these need backing up elsewhere
before you start.
