hi what is the difference between the 2 and is it worth updating

also which softcam am i best using with helios and a vu+ solo 2

The best version to use is generally the latest one, which is currently build 006, as for the cam you use, that depends on the card etc that you are using.

Softcams can be installed from the plugin feeds now. You still need to provide your own config files.

Online update for now from any Helios build...
Menu -> Setup -> Software update.

Not all images are released. Go straight to latest one. 006.

agh so i can just update from the machine itself. no need to load onto a usb stick

Yes. And lots of background updates, see changelog links posted above.

Sorry, I don't mean to hijack this thread however I also want to upgrade to Helios from Zeus 23. I just looked at the openvix site and have seen that there is a Helios 006 version to download. I am going to put it onto a usb and flash my duo however I have a question, is the abm bug still present? Thanks

If you set your providers again, it wont affect you.

what do you mean? Set sky uk and freesat uk and then run a scan?

Also do I need to do anything to crossepg? Rescan, or resetup?

Yes that's it. You don't need to scan though.

ABM is going through some big changes, so it may require to be setup again from time to time over next few weeks,

Is this when doing online updates? After the update will we need to reconfigure it again?
