using coronation street as a example I would do the following.
1. press the EPG or Guide button to open the Graphical EPG.
2. press the yellow button "EPG search".
3. press the yellow button "New search".
4. type what you're looking for in this case coronation will be enough for the search. then press ok
5. using the up and down buttons scroll to the episode you want, in this case "mon 14/07, 19:30. ITV HD Coronation street".
6. press the blue button "Add Auto timer"
7. in the import autotimer screen make sure all the boxes are ticked and press ok to save.
8. in the edit autotimer screen press ok to save (notice the begin timespan and end timespan) in this case it will only record episodes between 18:30 and 21:00.
Thats it you are set, to check the set timers exit back to live TV and press the green button, this will auto update every time it pools the EPG and will only record episodes between the chosen time frames and only on the chosen channel.
There are other ways but thats how I always do it.
