Hi

I'm trying to install Openvpn but keep getting the 'feeds down for maintenance' message, I found a thread from the forum chat screen that said a workaround was to delete the 'ocram-feed.conf' file, I have deleted this file, rebooted but still get the same error, any ideas?

Thanks
Rick

Will build 23 have the new Vu drivers are is that being implemented in a later version?

No Build 023 won't have the new kernel and drivers for the Vu+ hardware.

No those drivers work with the new kernel and 23 will still be old kernel for the vu

Unless VU+ get their arses into gear and fix issues reported to them there might never be in any ViX or OE-A images containing new kernel and drivers. Communication with them is starting to be a bit of a joke.

I would have thought that VU+ would have bend over Backwards to Help you, as I think that it's probably due to YOU the Vix team making such a great image to help their receivers be so Advanced and popular  as Hardware is no good without Decent software if you know what i mean

LOL well if you listen to certain people, ViX have inside information and demand that Vu+ put certain things into their drivers etc, if only they knew just how much trouble it is trying to get them to acknowledge a bug report let alone any thing else, they may reconsider those theories.

hi

what about setting up a petition for all vu users to sign requesting action to be taken to address the problems that need to be sorted im sure they cannot ignore the many of us who have invested hard earned money to purchase there equipment there must be 1000s of us in the uk and europe with a few links to where the petition can be signed im sure many would be willing to sign.

Hi

Taken a look at on petition sites quite simple to do just need some input as to what we are asking for vu to do regarding driver updates etc so that life for the many vu+ users can be made easy.
The other thing we need to decide is to have the link embedded into this site need to have the boss view on this one maybe with his inside knowledge of vu he could start the petition to allow us to sign
thats unless he wishes to be neutral

Hi Just installed new Duo2 w/ 2 X S2; 1 X T2; Apollo022, Kernel 3.3.8; Last Updated 19/7/14. Basically works okay but as above NFS Setup or UShare not available - Feeds down. Should I upgrade to Apollo 023 or wait till Feeds are back?
Dont understand the workaround pls help.
BTW I see the Sponsor is on holidays from tomorrow until 18th Aug - will Support also be on hols?

The feeds are not down, it's the ocram server which is down and affecting the image feeds. You can either FTP into the receiver to the /etc/opkg/ directory and delete the ocram feeds or fresh flash build 023 which has these removed by default.

As for the sponsor, while he is away you wont be able to contact him via his shop or the forum but the forum is still here and will provide all the help we can as always.
