Hi Guys,

Have recently upgraded my Vu Duo from 089 (Delivered) to 095. I am now have a problem in waking the box from standby.

Finish watching TV put the box to standby and when I come back the next day I can not get the box to turn back on using the remote. I also noticed that the clock is wrong in the display.

I have to reboot by turning the mains power off and back on.

I would be grateful to learn if anyone else is experiencing this problem or if there is something that I am not doing right.

Regards

Hi,i would try a fresh flash with no back up and no plugins installed for a couple of days with the latest stable vix image.ive never had the clock showing a wrong time but ive had my duo for just over 2 years and every so often i get the same issue of it not happy with coming out of standby, star***ng on front panel instead of starting or having to leave it off for a little while before it would start after flipping the on/off switch at the back.sorry aint a clue what causes the problems but a fresh flash normaly sorts things out

is it a duo or duo2 as i dont see a clock on mine?

Thanks for the advice.

I will reflash the Duo and not do a restore. This is not a problem as I have not really got to grips with configuring it yet. Should I reflash with the SD or HD image.

I am not unfamilar with flashing sat Rxcvrs, but this is my first one running Linux and I am a little unfamilar with some of the processes

I would just flash openvix 096 with it's default Vix-Night-HD skin for the time being until you get to grips with your Duo then you can try out the 1080 skins :)

This means that the box is 'frozen' (an E2 and/or Linux issue).
Your best chance is to use a swap-file for this box. If that doesn't cure the issue, you should use the 'cache flush' plugin.
