VIX Team Vu+ Duo Image v1.3 - 05/12/2010

Just finished installing the image and immediately noticed this, a huge improvement in my opinion - one of my single biggest issues with Enigma2 was that it didnt do this by default like my old Neutrino image did. Great work from the Vix team.

Ok, so its not just me, but brings me back to my original question, can i switch this new feature off????

Hi Guys,

Got everything set up now and it all looks to be working fine! One last thing - I have my picons on my USB stick which also has my swapfile on it mounted in /media/usb. On there there is a folder called picon but the duo doesnt seem to pick them up from there. I have pointed the duo towards the USB flash drive in the VIX setup menu. Any ideas how to get it working? Promise this is the last thing LOL! I've caused enough trouble today!

Ok, but i only have 1 cam installed now, the test i was talking about was on Vix 1.2.
But maybe you can help me with anoother issue too, I cant change channels anymore by just pressing the left or right arrow, the channel info changes but the receiver doesnt change to the new channel, it will do so if i press OK though. Did i change a setting without knowing it?
Tnx

what you mention there is the correct way it should function use ch -/+ to do instant channel change scrolling

if asking of the previous channel changing question then no its a buit in feature

not sure if nutrino or keymap.xml will allow its change

You can change it to long ok in vix settings. And arrows will return for changing channel

ok - just messing about with picons - pointed the duo towards the internal flash to see if they would work from there (putting the picons in the root). Now it seems I have an infinate boot loop again. Box gets so far as loading up enigma 2 and then the vix logo keeps spinning around - no channels come up. Any way to undo the change via a config file or something - or is it a reflash? - Gutted as it was the very last thing I wanted to set up PLEASE DONT SAY ITS A REFLASH LOL! - Anyways - enough breaking the image for one night!

EDIT: I can FTP into the duo and delete the picon directory from the flash but still no joy after doing that.

Hi Guys,

Just installed 1.3 - Looks good although box green screened and went into an infinate green screen loop when I tried to mount a CIFS share from my NAS but entered the wrong IP. Automounter kept on trying to mount it but green screened when it couldnt find the share at that IP - IMO this is a major bug that needs sorting. I had to reflash to get out of it but hopefully the log is still there. I'll email it when I get it.

[STRIKE]then tell the plugin originator ;).[/STRIKE]

fix should be online for automounter

Here you go guys - found 3 logs on my HDD. I forgot to mention I also had a crash when I pressed the EPG button when I had no bouquets installed. One of the logs should indicate that. The others should be for the automounter issue.

have you done a software update ?, that bug should have been fixed ?

In VixEPG, how do I change what each colored button does?

E.g. Red button shows program info.

(I want the red button to give me program info)

you can't, if you want that you will need to install CoolTVGuide by coolman, but just be aware it is slower than vixepg

goto VIX settings, and change QucikEPG to 'Long OK' this will restore left/right buttons to change channels

Is it possible to read ECM-info anywhere, besides of using FTP, in this image..? I'm not running CCcam.

what file has this info, pm me a sample, and where it is located, and i'll what i can do

I'm not familiar with all the different EPG-versions out there, so hopefully there's someone who can advise me... The default EPG is ok, if you can settle with the present and the next few programs. If you need to know what is going on the next day, or in three days, it's a bit of a struggle, as I have to hit the RIGHT-button quite a few times to come to the third day. Maybe there's a function unknown to me, so please let me know if it is possible to find EPG for day three (or four...), in an easy way. Maybe there's some other EPG-addon one can use, or maybe theres simply a function to activate?

Some years ago, I had a STB called Force, and the EPG in this box made it possible to choose the day of your interest, and then read the full EPG for this day. Today it's sunday, and if I had the Force-EPG, I could've chosen EPG for thursday directly in the EPG-menu. I'm looking for a similar function in this box/image. Is this possible in any way..?

Whilst in EPG, press the top left button under the mute button and you can input wherever you want to view in the EPG instantly for upto 7 days.

Hope this helps

Thanks... But where is the Ghost skin?

Edit: ok, i found it :)

Thanks for yet another great image VIX Team.
Just having a bit of a play with the EPG and I can't find the option to change bouquets whilst in the EPG.
I know you could in CoolEPG in VIX 1.2.

Am I missing something here or isn't it possible in VIXEPG. If not could this feature be added as an online update at some point please ?

Once again fellas, thanks for this great image.
