Hello,

there is a new driver for quad and quad+ (26th of december 2014) with some bug fixes. Is it possible to use the new driver allready in the 112 revision of the apollo image or should i wait until this driver is officially included in one of the future releases?

thanks

it should be in the latest online update i assume as there was an update yesterday or today.

did an update jast a few minutes ago. still on driver version 20141020

strange these drivers havent been committed to the git and ye the last drivers were 20141020

Although I Can Say They Have Solved Several Problems... My Box Reboots Now Perfectly, And The Memory Leak When Recording Seems To Be Leaving About A Third Of Available Memory Free... Whereas Before It Was Going Down To About 2.5% Free...

Although I'm Using Apollo 064, Altered To Allow SNP(Service Name Picons) And Of Course The New Drivers... With Cacheflush Enabled Too...

I tryed to put manually, but the box didnt start after reboot....

i am using this new beta driver for several days now (115). running very smoothly as pac2000 reports!

any chance they gonna be added to Openvix? Where is the download of these drivers?

@veskop You Just Need To Telnet init 4, FTP The dvb.ko File To lib/modules/3.14.2/extra And Telnet init 6 To Reboot... (The 3.14.2 Is The Kernel Version So May Be Different)

Here's The Driver skippie From My Dropbox...

if these are beta drivers, then thats the likely reason they've not been added to the git yet

If you load drivers that don't match with the kernel version they were built for, your receiver will not boot up.

I know how to load it,but for some reasons, for me dont work, box reboot without bootlogo and I see busy animation on black screen...I use Quad (not Plus) with latest VIX build 115

Ive telnet'd and FTP'd the beta driver 'dvb.ko' file, but the driver version on Vix info screen is still showing as 2014-10-20 ?

Is this because they're beta drivers, or haven't they loaded properly?

Using a Quad Plus with Vix Apollo 115.

The driver date on screen is acquired from different details. Not sure which, don't worry about it.

It Says On The Gigablue Support Site It's For The "Quad / Quad+"... But My Box (Quad+) Has Gone From Completely Unstable And Unreliable, To Being Able To Record And Reboot Without Fear Of It Locking Completely Up...

If Your Box Is A Quad(Not Plus), And It's Not Booting Afterwards, I Would Assume It's Only For The Quad+...

Hopefully It'll Be Officially Released Soon, So It Can Be Integrated Into Vix...

thnx, I'll wait for the openvix integration then

That's Not Technically True... It Would Mean You Would Require Different Drivers/Modules For Every Linux Kernel Version...
