OSD returns to non resized on restart (TV has no overscan off function)

As per the title, OSD returns to overscan setting on restart. The only way for it to go to resized version is by going into the user interface and manipulate one of the settings.

Any help appreciated.

Are you saving your settings before exiting?

Also what build are you on? You can check that by going into, menu, information n about.

I am indeed saving the settings. The osd settings remains as changed, it changes only on restart. Numbers remain the same within the menu on restart.

The build is Apollo 131.

I had an issue with OSD settings which were lost when I started to play some recordings - although in my case a restart took things back to normal.

The solution for that was to set the refresh rate to 50Hz rather than having it on multi.

Best way would be to turn off overscan on your TV.

I have the same problem if I turn off the tv and then back on the OSD returns
my tv is on 16.9 with on overscan ?
my mate got the same and he has the same problem aswel

Change 16:9 to just scale or 1:1 pixel

My in-laws TV is a pioneer over 12 years old HD plasma (one of the firsts as far as my father-in-law says). I've done some research on the tele and there is no turn off over scan function built in which is a shame.

@birdman - dude the 50hz output worked. It was on 60hz prior. Thanks.

Same with my dads now almost 10 year old 50 inch LG HD ready TV. all the others in the house have overscan turned off, just not this one.

Ah, good!
I only tried that in my case as I was only seeing the problem on an mpeg file (possibly re-muxed to ts) and the only "oddity" I could see when playing it in mplayer on a PC was that it had a 29.97/s frame rate.
Nice to know it worked for someone else too.
