As rob said a bug report has been submitted, there is no possible way we can give a ETA for any bug fix, it will be fixed when its fixed.

As I said: I filed a bugreport. And how could we possibly give an ETA (supposing we can fix it at all)?

I don't see how it's not possible for someone on here involved in development to give an ETA based on past experience of how long bug reports normally take to be acted upon. But sorry if i touched a nerve my bump seems to have annoyed you.

I may have some news for you: we don't have an R&D department, neither an QA or a sales department. And we don't have any high-paid professionals, whom we can call at night to come to the office to do some work.

We are just dependant on one of the team to actually
1- find the cause of any misbehaviour, and
2- find a solution
supposing he can spare some more of his free time. Which in itself can be activated by the motivation to fix any serious issues; this one is not.

But sorry if i touched a nerve my bump seems to have annoyed you.

There's nothing 'nervous' about it; it's just a pointless question

Ok is your current image working? Apart from the bug? Yes? Would you like to rewrite the whole image? For free? If not then load another image. They don't force you to use this image. Best of luck

I was not complaining, I was simply asking for an ETA. In a polite and reasoned way.

I thought I'd bump this thread as the bug is still here. When is it likely to be fixed? I hate to nag but it's a real pest!

In response I got a pretty cutting comment, which I returned. Nothing here concerns you.

No I think you have got sucking up wrong with patience. Just chill out, good things come to those who wait.
Also do you see me getting any thanks for my post? No coz devs are build images not looking for followers.

We can't give a accurate ETA, we have tried in the past many times but they way the image is developed it's just not possible to specify a date or time for a specific release. The image is currently undergoing final testing and we are working on a issue that was discovered at the last moment (hence the need to test). when it's ready we will announce it here but it should not be too long.

Thank you for the reasoned answer, it is all I was asking for originally! I appreciate all the hard work that goes into Vix and understand that on the list of priorities this bug is at the bottom.
