[MB Premium Mini] Password and USb crashes

Two problems:

1: cannot log with either: root + openvix, or root + dreambox , or admin + password, or root + password.
Cannot FTP in?

2: Why is that my Box crashes after 1 hour of recording and/or timeshift? Have tried all sorts of different brands and good quality USB flash drives upto 64 gb. same issue always.

HAve you double checked IP address of receiver?
What are you trying to FTP with? Does it have a log?
Can you telnet?

Abu I will just try to telnet. IP address is correct.

Please confirm the standard user name and password for telnet and the FTP please?

username = root
password= none,does not exist,blank, n/a, empty.

For FTP I use filezilla. It has a console which outpust status. Pretty sure most others have the same.
