Many thanks for the Image. Just updated 1.3 with the latest software. I cannot find where the "select picon location" line has moved to? I can't find it anywhere?

been noticing tonight i sometimes got a message pop up on screen asking me something like "would i like to shut the box down in 30 seconds or summit", i answered no obviously, it kept coming back a few times and i got pissed off and just rebooted the box, but ive not had long enough to check to see if its came back as its too late, i had a look through the 1 million options available, lol, but didnt see anything relating to it and i cant even remember what exactly it says as i had too many champagnes buy then, lol, but it defo was looking as though it would put the box in stand by mode if i didnt select the no option.

does anyone know what this is and how i sort it please, happy new year. i have vix 1.3

its the autostandby function like the sly box does at 1am you can set it of in vix, autostandby menu

ok, i was getting mixed up with the settings and setup options, its actually setup and not settings, anyway, i found where i wanted to be, but you told me to enable it, i disabled it because surley enabling it means the box will shutdown at the next set time ? i dont want the box to switch off untill i tell it to, ya know what i mean ?

Hi guys,

I have been using VIX images since 1.0 and they have been great apart from one issue which I am finding a lot worse with v1.3. My box keeps freezing with the VIX logo working away on the top right hand corner but it doesn't respond to any remote commands. The only fix is to switch it off and on at the mains. It happens about twice a day on v1.3 and about once a day on the previous releases. It used to happen with DE images too. The only images I have used that don't seem to freeze are PLi ones. Is this a known issue or is my box broken? The only thing I can think of it that I have a 2tb HDD installed and the box is supposedly iffy with larger sized drives.

I have a similar issue but only since 1.3 - also I only have a 500GB drive so that may not be the problem...

Have you checked the autotimer polling times? also if you do search for spinning timer / hanging box there is another fuctuion that appears to hang the boc = sorry can recalll what it was.

9 times out of 10 this appears to be related to EPG downloads, you dont have to power off to get round it, telnet into box and issue this command: killall -9 enigma2
