[Mut@nt HD1200] Mutant 1500 - Stuck @ Boot after upgrading to latest image.

Just tried to couch flash to the latest 0.8 image and the box is stuck on boot again.

Hi

I flashed .006 from downloads and it worked.
I then checked for online updates to take it to .008 and the receiver is stuck on 50.

There are so many releases in the past few days but there seems to be a disconnect between the change control and release management processes.

How, 008 image hasn't even been released! Only online update so far.

was running 0.6 on the Mutant - did a software update check on the box and it picked up an update with IIRC 68/70 packages - I assumed it was 0.8 as I saw a post on here saying that 0.7 was decommissioned.

I proceeded to upgrade the box and it failed - again.

What you have done is an online update (software), this is not the same as couch flash which involves downloading the image file to your receiver and then flashing the box.

Apologies for using the wrong terminology.

Build 4.2.008 released on OpenViX.

We're in the process of running complete fresh build. During next week there will be a new build, hopefully should correct the issue on this update.

Thanks - i'll refrain from updating the mutant until then.

Just tried to software update to 009 this morning and upon reboot the box is stuck on boot again. This issue from previous versions still remains.

no access to webIf or FTP so sorry no logs.

What exactly are you updating from? What build? I've not got one to test here today.

Can you flash build 008, do not restore any settings.

Telnet:

init 4
opkg update
opkg upgrade

Give use the output from above, finally 'init 6'.

Was on ver 006.

Previously I tried software update from 006 > 008 and this failed (same stuck on boot issue).

Now tried 006>009 and its the same again.

I have 006 on a USB stick to get the box working again so thats not an issue. Simply letting you guys know that there is an problem with the upgrade with the mutant.

I have the box restored back to 006 however in the effort to help will initiate the commands you want. Hold on.

Please do as posted. USB flash build 008, do not restore any settings then try online update.

If that fails, please re-flash again and do those telnet commends so we can see what's going on.

Thx.

Attached - noticed a "fatal error" towards the end - maybe relevant.

Is that from build 008 to 009 or 006 to 009?

06.

Now trying to USB flash the box to 08. As my laptop doesn't have a USB this will take a while.

OK - Update.

USB Flashed to 008
Box detected backup on reboot so Restored settings
Software update to 009

Working fine.

So it seems to be an issue with upgrade from 006. Output of which is pasted above.
