Hi!

I wonder where the right place to ask for some help with plugin development would be.

My problem is that I have some projects planned, like for example a decent OpenVPN plugin which can actually create (or import) configs/profiles.
While I'm able to write the part that merges collected informations into the configs, I'm not able to write E2 plugins "from scratch".

Now I'm looking for someone who would be able to assist in creating the user interface while I would take care about the core interaction with OpenVPN.

Find an extension that creates similar dialogue screens. Get the source of that and use it for examples.

I'll start at the beginning (and not at the most tricky dialog I mentioned before) and finish at the end:

On startup of the plugin one would see a list with all present profiles, roughly like seen here:

I would provide the code which returns all existing profiles as a Pythonic dictionary.

My thoughts about the buttons here:
Left/Right to toggle enable/disable for a profile
OK or Menu button opens a popup with further actions for the selected profile (Delete, Edit, Show Log, for Servers also Client Management)
Red and Green in Main Menu would cancel / exit with save as usual.
Yellow would create a new profile
Blue = Cert management, especially CA Root

Creation of new profiles would be wizard style:

1st dialog:
1 - Create a new profile
2 - Import an existing profile
0 - Cancel

"2" would scan all media (Their root directories) for OpenVPN profiles and will offer to import one of the valid ones
"0" is self-explanatory

1 goes to next dialog:

1 - Use an existing CA Root Authority
2 - Create a new CA Root Authority
0 - Cancel

1 offers all existing CA Certs and skips next step

2 will query params (bit depth, Common Name, ...) for the root authority and create the CA cert afterwards


1 - Use existing DH params
2 - Generate new 4096 Bit DH params
3 - Generate new 2048 Bit DH params
4 - Generate new 1024 Bit DH params
0 - Cancel

and so on ...

I can become more detailed once I know someone is going to help.
I definitely have no problem with deriving the code for a new dialog from a similar other dialog or to extend an existing dialog, so I'm not looking for someone to write the whole plugin for me

What I need is the bare beginning and help with any dialog that isn't already there in similar form.
