What skins are you guys using? If you are not already try going back to vu plus hd skin, using vix epg and enabling pig(picture in graphic) and changing picons shown to 5.

Hi, i am using Kerni-HDIR2 skin but even in vu plus hd skin with 5 there are no picons in VIXEpg. i do get picons in infobar and cooltvguide...

Unless is a conflict with having cooltv guide installed as I have tried on the duo and solo to replicate this problem and can't. Perhaps a reflash and don't install cooltv guide and reinstall picons

I am installing picons by installing a plugin (there are two listed). It just installs, I do not get an option to decide where to install them. I too have same prob. picons appear in channel bar but not in epg. (I have epg setup correctly for picons, items set to 5 etc)

you wont get an option it will install acording to where you set out in the vix settngs menu

hi dnme, as silverfox quite correctly states it is in vix settings you pick the location and it will be assigned there. sorry probably worded it badly earlier. i would suggest though trying a reflash with vu+ hd skin and dont install cooltv guide if you are planning on using vix.

im using the vu plus hd skin as i find that one the best! ive tried other skins and still same issue

interestingly i did install cool tv but didnt use it so uninstalled it to no avail

i guess my next step is to reflash from scratch.

i take it i can backup my settings first to my internal hard drive then restore settings after i flash or do you recommend i set everything up from scratch again?

thanks

would normally backup and restore settings but try a reflash and new setup and report back if it solves it

maybe we have to set the epg install to hard drive first then install the picons?

picons go into root of any desired drive as like this

Code:
picon

put picons in that folder

and then tell your vix menu where they are and thats it

1. When you install picons via a plugin, you do not get the option to tell them where to install.
2. There is no option in the vix 1.3 menu to set picon storage location.

1 Correct
2 Incorrect because if you go Menu > Setup > VIX > Settings
You will find the option there

ftp into your vu+ and check under media and see if the folder named picon is in your usb or hdd and move to your preference this way,

i went to media using ftp and there is no folder named picon!! where else would they be?
