Seeking forward and backward in IPTV and VOD is possible in openATV.
https://github.com/openatv/enigma2/commit/fc11c25fca955b26c863eaa0234806fa1c929270
And it's not only for VOD. For example Estonian public tv and radio channels can be rewinded up to 120 minutes.
Code:
#SERVICE 4097:0:1:33:7:20E9:EEEE0000:0:0:0:http%3a//sb.err.ee/live/etv.m3u8:ETV HD
#DESCRIPTION ETV HD
I find it very useful. It would be great to have this feature in OpenViX.

Where are the commits that make it possible?

I was mistaken. There is no need to install seekbar or any other plugin, to make seeking work. These changes are enough.

Can anyone confirm whether this will be implemented in openvix please. Preferably the next update!

Please zip the files you have made changes to and post them here because going from ATV git causes merge conflicts for me.

Can all these improvements by rimas be implemented as soon as possible please. Then my Solo2 will be a perfect iptv player!

With these files selecting the hi-res stream first works in ViX. Perhaps ViX coders can use them.

Any timeframe when these improvements will be incorporated into the image please.

Seeking forward & backward will be in the next build

This diff changes more code than just picking up the "connection speed" for m3u8 (.hls) and omits some of the .hls code.
As pointed out in another thread, Servicemp3 has been heavily re-written by ATV and has been just changed again recently, so would have thought that just the m3u8(.hls) code would have been sufficient - I am not knocking the change (after all I have Christophecvr's changes in my ViX clone), its just how far you need to go.

It didn't compile for me with lesser changes. As I said - I'm no expert. :)
Please provide a patch for ViX yourself.
