Hi all. How can I force the card in slot 1 to be used instead of cccam for some channels? I have white card in but it still looks for cam.

Thanks

The card will be read by the box. You need a softcam to read it. If wrong please elaborate

not sure about the VU but on my DM7020 i just insert my white card (FTV) and it just works. no need to mess with boxkeys , CFG files or softcams at all. when it needs to decode a channel it just works.

Never tried it with just FTA but Yeh for non premium you don't need boxkey but do need softcam.

A bit more info....I know we can't discuss CS....I have a share with some glitchy channels, but also have my old white card. C4 & 5 hd mainly have problems. As I understand it these are free to view with a card in? But the box still uses the CS for channel 4hd.

Thanks

Have you put the boxkey for the card into your CCcam.cfg?

If the correct details are entered into your CCcam.cfg, CCcam will default to the card first.

no I haven't - will sort that out.

Thanks

Try to start CCcam with -l param.

Sorry, don't know what this means:confused:

I followed a guide and sorted out BOXKEY & SMARTCARD frequency and tried a dodgy channel (C4HD). Infobar said it was using the card, perfect. But then looked at a channel that used CS and went back to c4hd and got glitches again because it had gone back to cccam. So still not sure what to do!

Thanks for the replies.

Ok, tried SERVER LiSTEN PORT: 0 - no luck
tried TELNET usr/bin/CCcam -l ........ but says cccam not found. Browsing folder usr/bin does not contain cccam. I do have cccam running running so still puzzled.

......found CCcam in softcams instead so tried TELNET with that instead of bin folder but still it's not using the card.

Did you remember to stop or kill the running CCcam before you started it from Telnet with param -l?

Just tried again ... stopped cam first on box then Telnet .....but it just started the cam again and infobar said cs info.

I don't get why it's not happening:confused: Do the lines in the cfg have to be in a certain order?

sorry replying to my own post...
The box doesn't seem to see the card at all. Stopped the cam, started it again. Tried a new blank cfg then edited all line suggestions given in this thread but no luck.

Does the cam version matter? I'm using 2.2.1.

Thanks
