I have set an autotimer for Corrie. On Friday the 8:30pm show was shown in red on the EPG but the 7:30 wasn't. However both recorded..! Wierd!

autotimers do a title name search so they wil search and record all possible recordings with same name

u can customise autotimer to anly record a program ar a certain time and day

That is not the issue. Both shows were recorded successfully, however only one was shown in red on the EPG. It is a bug in highlighting shows due to be recorded.

I too have noted on the previous page that autotimers in the EPG are not always showing up as red

Auto Language Setup/Subtitles... Does it work..? I've done all the settings, restarted, tried a few skins, but it's still the same. I have to do all the audio/sub settings manually.

Try this settings:

Prefer DVB-grafical subtitles = no
Prefer subtitle stored by service = no
Prefer audio stream stored by service = no

Then restart and report your findings.

Yes its fixed on PLi 2.0

No, it's not.
They fixed the networktest (more or less: local network shows "unknown"; better then "broken", but still not correct). And networkstatus is still grey, not green.

Maybe on your box local network on test has a green tick next to it on mine

Thanx, but it's still the same. All I can see, is that the black bakground behind the text is possible to adjust, from black to completely see through. The subtitles still have to be set manually.

ok guys i have a little problem i have a usb with media files i used to be able to play them in the last version of vix with this one i cant!!! the box recodnises the usb's but when i try to play them through media player it dosnt show up just shows up hard disk and internal flash!!!any help will be appreciated?

hi guys,

anyone else think that vix 2.0 is very slow and unresponsive a lot of the time?

ive used 1.1, 1.2, all seemed fast and well, few little things like auto timer not working properly but nothing i couldnt deal with.

1.3 seemed to be the start of the slowing up. wasnt too bad as it was only when accessing the recordings and also when stopping the recordings.

now with 2.0 i get, even slower access to recordings, and even channel changing is like a 3 - 5 second wait at times.

its not just my box, ive installed it on 4 of them and they all do the same.

before anyone says it, yes ive updated them all through software management to latest firmware and yes i do delete recordings from deleted items.

any advice or help appreciated as i do like the new image although it has failed a couple of times. freezing the machine and slowed up to the extreme that you think its totally frozen

There could be several problems so it could be hard to pinpoint it straight away

try a different usb stick re-format your usb stick

try keeping all picons on your usb and epg

try disabling any swap files

try running without a HDD attached to see if that makes you system more stable

Now to last resort

try re-initializing your HDD

and installing a new image from scratch
