Thanks - that is OK, the device was re- partitioned and then format ran to completion.

error on an Ultimo4k (5.5.013.010.P3 with the recent commit to HarddiskSetup.py)
Can you please reflash to 5.5.013.013.Py3.

Online update is not available as this is a new build of branch 5.0 (Py3.9.5).

Bit stuffed with that one, Restore Wizard doesn't kick in, just a blank screen.

... crashes with ok, "question" popup when I press exit.

Yes, I need to rebuild so it has the latest commits. I'll post back when done.

OK, its up there now.

I'm now running 5.5.013.014 (Py3), everything looks ok. The usb stick functions as expected , apart from still showing as "External (ERROR)".

(Harddisk.py and Task.py added as well.)

I'm using a usb 2.0 stick in a usb 3.0 slot.

I know, we're trying things out on a later release. Some of these posts probably need moving to their own thread.

I see the same. Fully functional but shows an error. Can anyone not using a Vu 4k see the error?

ET10K running 5.4.009 (Release) works fine in every respect.

EDIT: still ok on 5.4.012 (Release).

Just updated Hardisk to remove ERROR in bus type (was invalid path check ) so should now be all clean on Git

Ultimo4K now looking fine.

One inconsistency I still see on both boxes is this hotplug popup, which is not strictly correct as I can play recordings stored on the stick.

I guess it depends on what displayable means.

MediaScanner does the check.

I think that is looking for pictures e.g jpeg etc
I have seen that message from the year dot

I've never used a usb stick before, so messages like that can be a bit misleading. :)

"No displayable files on this medium found!"

Doesn't look very English.

"No displayable files found on this medium!"

Your mount points look wrong. Your Internal disk (/dev/sda1) should be mounted as /media/hdd and the USB stick mounted as /media/usb surely?
That's probably a timing issue at boot time as to which one gets seen first. Differeing results seem to confuse the system.
I used to suffer from this (long ago).
The solution is to use the option* to configure where you wish each file-system to be mounted.

*Setup -> ViX -> Mount manager -> Setup mounts
