I'm still testing on Zgemma H7S. Everything I use on it seems to be working correctly at the moment.

Due to changes on oe-alliance-core builds are starting from scratch so it will take a couple of days to update.

Vu Ultimo 4k already available for update.

Just tried a clean flash of 5.5.015.002 on my H7 and it's not starting. Haven't been able to set a password, so can't investigate much further. I'll try a flash from USB when I get a bit more time.

You should still be able to connect to box by terminal/putty and start it in console mode.

Didn't realise I could still Telnet without a password

Does this show the problem

Code:
root@zgemmah7:~# ENIGMA_DEBUG_LVL=3 enigma2
[Enigma2] PYTHONPATH: /usr/lib/enigma2/python
[Enigma2] DVB_API_VERSION 5 DVB_API_VERSION_MINOR 11
ENIGMA_DEBUG_LVL=3
[MAIN] executing main

/dev/sda:
 setting standby to 0
 (off)

CHANGE config.crash.debugloglimit=4

CHANGE config.crash.debug_path=/home/root/logs/

That error corresponds to a very recent commit...

Code:
https://github.com/OpenViX/enigma2/commit/3c3490e44017b3ddcf0f72e344004f2c10b5a293#diff-bdefa727ffe9f3830797beb04ccfd556f66a2acee623065f17e34870cc5862f6

Sorry guys, missed an import and forgot to rename a module. —Github OpenViX updated

It was a very recent build. I'll try again in the next Day or two

Apologies, but you need to rerun build with the very recent Github change - now with change boots up on my system
.. and Yes telnet initially and use passwd to add new password

Has the build process been streamlined? Now a fresh build has only approx 9750 tasks instead of 15800. Builds way quicker. Although i have to do it again as my H7 didnt boot either!

I think image builds and feeds are being split, not sure if it's in yet, but it'll mean you'll be able to build either or both.

I'm not seeing 5.5.015.xxx, does it need uploading?

Because I build all then upload all. But you can just pull the software update. Just updating again now to pull in this last couple of commits.

Just uploaded: h9combo, AX/HD61, gbue4k, gbuhd4k plus feeds

Referring to the Octagon SF8008 Py3 image. I am not entirely happy about the autoresolution menu. It works same as Py2 vix but it seems not to have the same options as the Octagon Openeight autoresolution feature which seems to me to give more flexibilty, especially when autoswitching between 2160p modes and 1080i and low res modes. Could the autoresolution part of the video settings menu be expanded for 2160p capable boxes?

This plugin "enigma2-plugin-systemplugins-autoresolution" is part of their image, which should be on OpenViX feeds as well to download.

EDIT: need to look at this as no "autoresolution" showing in py3....

So @johnhoe: in python3 image:-
putty init 4 (space between - stop E2)
copy attachment (videomode.py) below to /usr/lib/enigma2/python/Screens
putty init 6 (space between reboot)

see if that is enough - will give same as py2 module.

View attachment VideoMode.py

Yes that seems to work in latest Py3 SF8008 image 5.5. Autoresolution add on has appeared in one of the setup menus and appears to be working correctly. Certainly better and quicker than the Vix standard one. As you say Autoresolution works in py2 anyway. It is much better IMO than the Vix version in video settings and is less laggy. Perhaps it should be included by default.
