[ET8500] Function without internet connection

Hi,

I have the box tuned to FTA 28.2e channels and was wondering how the epg can be set up so I don't need internet for it to update as the box will not have internet connection in the future.

At the moment Autobouquetsmaker is retrieving channels and the epg is from epgimport. I think previously crossepg used the satellite to retrieve epg but i cant find this option.

You can use OpenTV EPG downloader which is built into the image.

Alternatively, you can install CrossEPG downloader. We no longer pre-install it for users.

If its Freesat channels then just configure the box to get the 7 day Freesat epg over the air
If its Sky FTA channels just tune into the Sky IEPG channel for 5/10 minutes a day for the over the air 7 day EPG. Use the EPG Refresh from the menu to zap to that channels for a short time each day.
