VU Duo 4K SE stuck on openvix screen

Out of interest is that the quad pro and did it come with DTT tuners and where did you source it? Was the duo under guarantee?

You can try and connect a serial cable and see the output while it tries to boot. Upload it too please.

I presume you have tried:
Removing HDD and satellite wires. Reseating tuner.

Yes its the Gigabyte UHD Quad 4K Pro and here is where I got it.

Lots of options in terms of what you want the tuner slots filled with and whatever size hard drive you want.
I got twin FBC and Twin DTT/DTC
It comes with "Team Blue" Enigma2 OS on it.
I could not figure out how to use " Team Blue" at all , couldnt even get a scan going , it may be geared towards German TV , I dont really know.
I flashed it with openvix , the original team blue OS is on Gigablue.de if it should be needed to get it back to factory status.

The Duo is just out of Guarantee ...... isnt that always the way

Some pics of what I see , the box never moves from that screen regardless of image flashed.
Yes , I have tried openatv as well , but the openvix splash screen remains.



I have the box out of my rack now and on my troubleshooting desk.
Was hoping something simple would show itself , but as you can see , all the insides look fine , cant see an issue.
The unit has no caps to swell or anything like that.
Everything looks as new.

The tuner cards may be salvaged and sold I would imagine.

The New Gigablue box is all set up and working fine

Yes , tried all that.
There is no output from the box other than that splash screen , no network access whatsoever , no way to telnet , webif , or otherwise access the box.

I have the hard drive that was in the box , this is untouched , I may be able to access that and grab any logs.
I will need to setup a temporary linux boot system in order to do this though , may take a while.

Yes I agree and with two DUO 4KSE's here and an electronics background, it would be useful to know any pitfalls older units might develop.

Ours run under extreme conditions of heat and dust (at times) but have been stellar in reliability and the fitment of hardware is first class in VU+ circuitry, so much so that I have revived a DUO² for my Son (of the three we have around) and it is performing perfectly (terrestrial only as the DVB-S isn't compatible with any satellites here).
