With Openvix 6.7.009 the problem of Timeshift failing to start after watching a recording remains. I tried applying the files provided by Orlandox, but they do not work with this release - assuming I did it correctly.

I reflashed the Mut@nt with 6.7.009 firmware, rebooted and started playing a recording (BBC FOUR HD - Classic British Cars Made in Coventry.ts). Upon stopping the recording the device returned to Sky News, but failed to start Timeshift. Once I changed channel to BBC News, Timeshift started as normal.

I will add an option for now a bit later today. The default will be off.
But that have to be investigated somehow since none of us reproduce it.

Hello everybody,

Looks like I have found out which setting is causing subtiltles problem ! It is "Stop previous broadcasted service on return to movie list." When it is set to 'No' subtitles are restarting ok. @Mickkie can you check it also ?

P.S. @DimitarCC , looks like that fix is not needed. Needs somebody else verify the result.

YES!

Setting it to 'No' fixes my problem. Timeshift now starts again once a recording playback is stopped. Thank you Orlandox!

Another thing I noticed concurrent with the reported problem in this thread, whenever I start playing a recording the progress bar shows up for 2 seconds before the popup appears asking if I want to resume from a previous playback position. I think in previous releases this popup used to come up first and the progress bar would only show after I clicked yes or no - either way I didn't have to wait before confirming 'Yes' or 'No'. Now I have to wait for 2 seconds before I can accept jumping to the previous playback position - an unnecessary delay. Is there a fix for this too?

Ugh! Spoke too soon.

Yes, Timeshift starts after playback is stopped. I can pause and rewind within Timeshift, but I can only do this once - if I press the Stop button to return to present time within a live service transmission. After I press Stop I can no longer pause or rewind, unless I first change channel. I hope this makes sense to someone.

Just to clarify my previous post:

Setting "Stop previous broadcasted service on return to movie list" to 'No' allows Timeshift to start when I stop playing a recording. So far, so good.

However, once I pause or rewind within the Timeshift and then eventually press 'Stop' to return to present time, I can no longer use (pause or rewind) the Timeshift again, unless I change channel. This limits the usefulness of Timeshift as an one off attempt, but there's worse:

I cannot press FWD or press 1,3,5 to jump forward. On each occasion I return to current time at the end of the Timeshift, at which point I can no longer rewind as I explain above.

This problem started after release 6.7.005 or thereabouts and only manifests after playing back a recording and stopping to watch TV. Otherwise, the Timeshift function works as expected and I can pause/RWD/FWD and jump back & forth, as long as I have not played a recording while in the same TV channel.

Please let me know if there's any more information you need from me, or how I could troubleshoot this further.
