Since moving to 6.7.020 from 6.4 i noticed some odd behavior.


This box in in the attic so is not easily accessible and its used to stream content to other devices.

The box become unresponsive and even after multiple reboots via ssh it failed to restart so had to go to attic to unplug and re plug in to get the box to start again.

The open web fails to load or only partially loads. A reboot via ssh brings it back.


I cannot seem to find any logs for these crashes on the device? Can some one advise where they would be?

I checked the usual places.

The default location for crashes are in /home/root/logs

Just for reference, I find that if teh receiver does not restart a "killall -9 enigma2" command works. And "init 3" to restart.

webif was rewritten, so probably looks different - but cannot see crash.
So you need to post debug logs.

Have you turned on debug logging? Logs in flash (/home/root/logs) will survive reboots and updates. However, if you flash a new version in the slot, the data is overwritten.

Check the log settings for what location it is set to use. Maybe you changed it and forgot?

it has not happened since and there was no logs from the last time so this can be closed.
