[ET9x00] BlackHole ET 1.6.5 hangs during restart - hdd problem ?

Good news tho ... andy has got the source for libgcrypt 1.4.4, and will be upgrading that in the new vix image. And good news number 2... I've figured out that I need to go to the web if on media tomb, and build the media database. Done that, and gone on windows media player. There, I see both the upnp share (ustream) and the media tomb server. Was a bit confused why media tomb couldn't show any of the videos to begin with, but then found out it was because I didn't have the database updated. Then, it didn't work, cause I had 2 instances open. Stopped media tomb, restarted and all fine and played on windows media player :thumbsup:

So, looks like it might be working, but I haven't got any dlna equipment to test with...

I'd like to know how to get same point on my box...

For now what I did:

Downloaded and make manual install of modules:
- libavutil50_0.6.1-r0_mipsel
- libfaac0_1.24-r0_mipsel
- libfaad0_2.0-r2_mipsel
- libgcrypt11_1.4.4-r0_mipsel
- mpd_0.15.9-r2_mipsel

Then installed mediatomb, enigma2-plugin-extensions-mediatomb-vu_0.9-r1_mipsel package.
Instalation completed with 1 warning:
libbz2-1 md5sum mismatch

But installation completed without previous errors:

Seems to be ok, plugin is showed on plugin list, but I still cannot start mediatomb:

/usr/bin/mediatomb: error while loading shared libraries: libjs: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
Mediatomb fails to start

This is I suppose Java error. Any additional configuration needed ? Any ideas ? Feel that it's close to succeed but still not working...

I just went back to ViX image hoping it will work and EPG issues will have some workarounds...

As already stated but I can say this on behalf of Black Hole team that the ET9000 has no support from Black Hole and there is no intention of doing so.
Also as already pointed out the image has been ported to work on the ET9K and has not been tested or developed by any of the Black Hole team.

My advice is stick with VIX who are working hard and giving dedicated support to the ET9K

My point is not to have support for BlackHole on ET9000, my target is to have working mediatomb - it doesn't really matter (for me) which image it will be - hard, but true...

Pooface prooved that it's possible but didn't show how to get there... I did my best but I'm newbie, my installation is not working. So - like I said - is there anyone able to help me with that ???

I thought so. But - whatever - it doesn't mean that it's unable to get it working in current one. As I can see there is some database problem in my installation.

Implication was weak and not very clear. I don't see any point here - prooving that something is possible but I won't get any info how to do it... Why ??? For what ???

Secundo: I don't have ANY suggestion or info that mediatomb (it's my issue, hope You remember) will be available with new ViX image...

you seem to be demanding a result, to the point of obssesion
the VIX team is in fact working on this issue, within a yet to be released image,
which will also include other inovations
if its so important to you, why not develop the skills required, and sort it yourself
you seem to have a policy of "he who shouts loudest gets the result"

other images do not surport the tombstone plugin, so you have gone on a mission to hound those that can sort this,
despite the fact that other issues are as important

if you cant solve the problem, then its simple, wait until some one else does
you are not the only member here, that want things to progress

your not understanding dato its a case of needed many modules that will just kill vix 2.2 and no one knows what it will do to et9k BH image that is not even official release

that is why we ask you kindly to wait till VIX 2.3 is available where its being looked into getting ti working right off the install

please understand dato we are not dismissing you or your need for this feature but the entire team here are putting all our effort into getting VIX 2.3 to a release date, we simply can not spend the time and effort needed to get this working in VIX 2.2 but it is actively being worked on for VIX 2.3. also as many have said there are no team politics taking place, the initial image you posted wanting help with is not even a officially released image it is nothing but a third party port and as such BH will not offer any support for it nor can we for that matter.

i know you dont want to hear this but please be patient and wait for us to release VIX 2.3 there is nothing more we can do to get this working in the current VIX 2.2 release.

Just asked: Why to pretend that it can be solved now ??? We're arguing here almost 2 weeks, no results. If You'd said it 2 weeks ago it's not going to happen today I'd have different solution for dlna, maybe different sat receiver - I'd manage to do it somehow. i have read every post within this thread and every one you have made on this forum so far. if you read my post above it clearly tells you whats happening and exactly whats going on here. so i am going to ask you to calm your self down and read the post before you make any more silly posts.
