VU+Duo2 Just upgraded from VIX 4.1.16 to 4.2.30
Have it set up as it was but have noticed an issue that I don't remember happening on the last version

audio dropout
patches of complete silence lasting only a second or 2 usually when there is not much going on in the program like low background music or noise the audio would suddenly go completely silent and then cut back in

Has anyone else noticed this or have i configured something incorrectly
Attached is a capture of the audio settings

The issue is also present if I rewind and replay a section of a program

I have now also changed the HDMI cable
And also plugged into another HDMI port on the TV which is a Toshiba 32"
Many Thanks

Yes I noticed it yesterday exactly as you described with the background music. Thought it was my amp acting up.

:( Happening on Eastenders at the moment
wife giving me grief
Looks like I will be going back to 4.1.16

I made a backup before I changed over lucky enough

Unsure of your issue with audio drop outs. I'm at a friend's house who has a Vu+ Duo2 and has a wife who watches Eastenders and she says non of the sort is happening on there setup. They are on 4.2.030 and the Vu+ Duo2 goes through a Bose surround/amp system.

Thanks for your reply
The issue appeared to me to be like over aggressive noise reduction
during quiet parts of a program like background music playing or a crowd making noise there were notable pauses in the audio where audio dropped out and there was silence for just a second or two and then the noise or music would cut back in
It was there and it could be reproduced in a recording

Issues appeared to be happening on both terrestrial ( RTE 1 HD ) and also satellite programs
there is a twin sat tuner and single T2 tuner

If I with a 15% hearing loss ( industrial deafness ) could notice it then it was there
Things I tried to rectify it were
Swap the HDMI cable with another
Moved the duo 2 to another HDMI port on the telly

No amp involved
Just the built in speakers in the telly a Toshiba 32"
I have since Reflashed to the earlier image 4.1.16 and have not noticed any audio issues yet
thanks

going to sit down and watch a DVD on same telly so will be listening out for audio issues in case its the telly on its way out
