Hi there, I'm getting a strange issue after a GUI reboot. The box seems to hammer my router to the point that no other devices, including itself, can get internet access. The box doesn't crash as such but can't connect to N line or any other functions that require web access. The only way to resolve is a full restart. I enabled debug logging and had a look but couldn't see anything obvious.

Thread can be closed. I found that manually restarting the mgcamd softcam after the GUI restart fixes the problem.

Check your config file to make sure logging is turned off or the problem will come back

Some leave logging on for say putty purposes and it causes them no hassle and for some it does. Depends on your internet suppose. Most safer using L00 though I'm sure yes.

Talk of lines is likely to get this thread closed. However, whilst it's still open...

Logging will cause problems if you've got the network logging option enabled (01, 03, 05 or 07) and it's pointing to an IP address that mgcamd can't log to:

Code:
# Log option, sum of:
# 00 off
# 01 network udp log
# 02 log to console
# 04 file, appended ! delete it by yourself, before it eat all your hdd
# + IP udp-port log-file-name
L: { 01 } 172.16.1.1 28007 /tmp/mgcamd.log

In this example, mgcamd will be trying to connect to IP address 172.16.1.1. If that's not a valid address, then you'll get the network issues weigy104 describes.
