Hi, For the past several months I've had a picture on ITV 2 HD, ITV 3 HD and Comedy Central HD. But today I can't get a picture. Is it just me or has Sky blocked those channels now like they did with ITV 4 HD recently?

If not, is there a particular log I need to give you to see what the problem is? Thanks

The sat bible is a good tool to see what is happening when it lists clear you can view but yours are encrypted.

So does a channel say "Vanguard" if I'm unable to watch it? What did it use to say for channels such as ITV 3 HD which were technically freesat but are on Sky and could be watched on a VU+ box? Are there any channels like that which can still be watched?

Do you mean VideoGuard ?

Videoguard/NDS is the encryption system used by Sky (and packages on other other satellites). On some channels the encryption is hardware paired to the processor in a sky box and can't generally be viewed on 3rd party receivers even with a genuine card. ITV 2/3/4 HD channels are not part of freesat. Freesat by Sky is a different thing altogether.

Misspelled it sorry. So does a channel say "Videoguard" if I'm unable to watch it?

If you don't have a card then you cant watch it. Even if you do have one its unlikely you would get it working due to Sky not wanting anyone using their cards in 3rd party receivers.

Couldn't record ITV 3 HD and Comedy Central HD for the past few days but today I can again! What are Sky doing?
