When connected via wifi and looking for software updates via Menu, Information, About, Software Update (yellow Button) returns No internet connection found. Other functions that use the internet such ad plugin downloads or Image downloads via image manager work fine.

If you are on 5.3.039 there are no updates - its the last in that image line. 5.4.001 should be available for download via the image manager soon.

On my H7S it says "no updates available" as expected so it must be something to do with your end. Maybe a debug log might help

OK, I remember now. The network check is dependent on google dns which I had blocked in my router. Removed the static route and back to normal.

See my post above. Removing the static route blocking googles dns in my router fixed all. Looks like VIX checks 8.8.8.8 is accessible to determine if there is internet accessibility.

Thanks for your suggestions though.

No problem. Samba can have problems loading on a new installation sometimes and needs the opkg update first. Anyway glad you're sorted.
