do dishes need realignment sometimes?

Hello... My house has an oval dish pre-installed. I bought a box from world of satellite and it worked pretty well for a couple of years (though I didn't use it much, not the primary source of tv since we also have Sky stream).

Some time between the end of last F1 season and start of this one the box took a turn. I get no picture and nothing in the EPG. Looking at the signal strength screen (OpenVix) I see SNR at 42% / 8.5db, AGC 46%, BER 0, and LOCK is green. It is aimed at 28.2E.

I'm requesting advice if hiring someone to come out and adjust the aim the dish will likely make it work again. Thanks in advance!

So it looks as if the dish has moved, but there is still a signal.
I would be tempted to loosen the brackets that allow it move horizontally just enough so that you can finger tap the dish to move it and see what happens to the signal.
…and I mean finger tap gently, as it is picking up a signal and a slight movement will have a significant impact…just check the signal as you do this.

Which transponders have you checked in signal finder? When did you last run AutoBouquetsMaker? Which image have you got on the receiver? (Name/version/date).

It's OpenVix 6 7 007 (latest image and updated). It seems to be looking at transponder 10773H 23000 3/4 (took a screenshot from one of my two LNBs, not sure if other is the same or not). ONID 2 / TSI 2045. Haven't run auto bouquets maker for a long time. Thanks for any other ideas!

OK, that is an active transponder.

Follow the advice in previous two posts. I.e check if a tree hasn't grown in line of sight of the dish. Get someone to stand in front of receiver with signal finder active while someone pushes on "corners" of dish.

When you do finally adjust it, check several transponders.

In signal finder, where the transponder is listed, press right/left to change the transpondee. You can even press OK to open a list.
