Enabled FBC tuners for first time.

Not sure if this is gigablue or vix 6.9.03. I ordered a unicable lnb from WOS , a gt s2dcss24. First mistake was to run 2 cables to the tuners, learnt you only need one, after this tuners working . 1st problem it takes approx 5 seconds for a program to show on the telly when I switch on, used to be instantly? 2nd issue when the AutoBouquetsMaker runs it now blanks the screen while the ABM runs and when it finishes the program returns as normal. As I have never used FBC tuners before is this normal or is there some settings that need to be changed when you use FBC? Thanks.

I assume that you have mapped the 8 tuners to different frequencies? Tuners B —-> H should be mapped to tuner A

@ twol I have mapped the tuners as you have stated. I do wonder if it is a power issue to the LNB?

The reason you get a blank screen when ABM runs is that ABM is coded to use an independent tuner.

Easiest way around this is to set the preferred tuner to any other tuner, that way the root tuner won't be occupied.

Alternatively, you could use a splitter. That way A and B have independent signal.

Thank you for the advice and info. When I first set this up I had 2 wires connected 1 for tuner A and one for tuner B via a splitter and could not receive any signal ,signal strength meter and AGC just showed zero, removed cable from tuner B and it all worked? Is there anything special that has to be done to use 2 wires? I have just tested using c as preferred tuner it made no difference.
Addendum; I forgot to restart gui when I tested the ABM fix, now done it and the screen does not go blank when ABM works. Thanks abu for a good tip.
