[Freeware] Enigma2 Player 2.2.4 for Windows – multiview with up to 9 pictures, picture-in-picture and recordings

Hi ACWhitehouse,

thanks for the details – version 2.5.7 is now online and handles sub-bouquets properly (m3uiptv, BouquetMakerXtream and Xtreamity create them the same way).

Your IPTV bouquet now shows its groups like "VisionTv - UK | Free To Air" as folders you can expand, with all channels inside and the same numbers as on the box (2233, 2234 …). The player reads the groups straight from the bouquets, so it doesn't depend on the box's EPG screen: when you open a group, now/next for its channels is loaded (as far as the box has EPG data for them). Search works across all groups, and right-clicking a group shows its first channels in multiview.

With around 10,000 channels the first connect takes a few seconds longer while all groups are loaded once.

Update via Help → Check for updates. Let me know how it works on your SF8008s.

Best regards
Zakomania

That works brilliantly, thankyou for your efforts.

Using another tool for creating bouquets can not ever work with m3uiptv...
Not sure I understand your answer, I have used separately BouquetMakerXtream, Jedi, Xtreamity and now m3uIPTV and none of them have created an epg that shows sub groups, if I open EPG then select the IPTV bouquet it is empty as per image 1, but if I open bouquets it correctly shows the sub groups and I can then open a sub group to display the channels as per image 2. I am using m3uIPTV's bouquet with m3uIPTV but that is not the issue.
The changes Zakomania has made in his app work perfectly but I can not replicate this in OpenVix/Enigma2, regardless of which program I use to create the bouquets.

You asked for wants / recommendations, it would be nice if there was an option as in OpenVix to ignore/skip empty channels in the channel list?

Hi ACWhitehouse,

great to hear it works brilliantly, thanks for letting me know!

An option to skip empty channels in the channel list is a good idea. I'll add it in the next update.

Just to make sure I get it right: do you mean entries without a name (placeholders in the bouquet), or channels that currently have no stream/signal?

Best regards

This is enigma2 thing. It is not designed epg to be shown in the way you want it. Epg is shown only for a bouquet that have actual services.

My Bouquet is setup to start from Channel 101, so all of the slots above this are empty, so there are 100 N/A pluis a few empty channels interspersed.

There are also a lot of empty Groups, I am assuming those are Groups that I have selected to hide.

But... I can zap to an IPTV channel, then the EPG will show all of the channels within the same IPTV group, as per the image, I went Bouquets/IPTV/Kids/Disney then pressed EPG from there I can press 'Fav' and select a different IPTV Group within the EPG, surely everyone that uses IPTV on an Enigma box wants to see the EPG and the groups within? I should perhaps take this up in an EPG forum./

Yes because the epg is filled up once you zap. Then it knows which epg to fill.
And the question is if you have channel numbering per bouquet if you show the epg for whole group and subgroups what numbering you will use?

But Zakomania has achieved it perfectly in his app and it keeps the existing channel numbers.

I am asking that...
Lets says you have subbouquet1 and subbouquet2 each of them starts with channel number 1,2,3,4.
If you show the epg from all subbouquets you will end up in list like that

1
2
3
4
1
2
3
4

That is not good. It works in your case since your second subbouquet numbering continues from previous.

Then why can I not display this the same in my EPG?
It already does this for my Satellite bouquets, ie, Press epg, it displays 'All Channels', goto next bouquet which in my case is 'Entertainment', this then shows the entertainment channels and their associated ch numbers as per image, it does the same for all bouquets- until I get to IPTV, where it is empty but I would expect it to show the sub groups within my IPTV bouquet, which I could then select and open to see the channels.

So you are ok to see repeated channel numbers?!
For me that is not user friendly and will confuse most users.
Again i say you dont see this because your subbouquet1 is with channel numbers 1-10 for example and subbouquet2 is 11-20.

No because my bouquets are numbered differently, like I said Zakomania has done it perfectly in his app, it shows the IPTV groups, sub groups & channels and retains my boxes numbering of the channels within those bouquets.

But not all people have your numbering. So there can not be universal solution for everyone. I have a feeling you dont understand what i am talking about...
If you are happy with the solution you have thats fine...

Update: Enigma2 Player 2.5.8

Neu in 2.5.8:

Neu in 2.5.7:
- Unter-Bouquets bzw. Gruppen (z.
