[VU+ Solo] HELP - setting up/fixing a Vu+ Solo box

Hi

This is the procedure for flashing via usb stick the image to the vu solo

1. On the USB stick create a folder and name it vuplus inside that folder create another
folder and name it solo.

2. Download the USB version of a image and unrar/unzip. Now send the boot, kernel and root file etc
to the solo folder.

3. Insert your USB stick in the front USB port. Then on the rear of your solo press the
reset button.

When the VU Solo start the standby light will be RED. You should see the led light on your
USB flashing. This shows the SOLO is reading the USB stick.

After a while you'll see the LED on your USB stop flashing. When this happens it means your
SOLO is been programmed from it's internal memory after reading the USB drive.

When your Standby light turns green the flashing process is over and you can remove
the USB stick.

Press the reset button on the rear again and the Solo will boot into the enigma2 setup
process.

Use mispel CCcam files with vix image

I sure did mate. Thank you for them but still no luck just a black screen.

Yep they are the steps that I took my friend. Although the final bit where you say to use mispel CCcam files what does that mean mate?

If I flash the Vu+ solo with the VTi flash can I then flash back to Vix? Could be worth trying?

when you say blank screen do your fta channels work and hopefully you set up either a scan or autobouquetmaker,newer images have choice of cams downloaded from the plugins page via remote and box.

Just a blank screen with no enigma boot or anything. Ive pressed buttons on the remote but to no avail. If I press the stand by switch on the remote the green light blinks but comes back green and doesn't turn off. It really is bizarre.

ok are you using a hdmi cable from box to tv and is the hdmi port on tv setup as in on?

Yes mate the HDMI runs from the box to he TV and is set up and working. Ive tried it on my ps4 and laptop.

yes if the receiver works with the vti image installed I see no reason to stop you then trying the vix again .

the mispel CCcam bit relates to using a local card on your receiver using CCcam but lets get your box back to life first

Hey guys!! I tried the image other than Vix and again the same issue just a black screen on reboot. Its really baffling not sure what is going on??

Hi mate

most strange have you used another usb stick maybe get the one your dad used when he had the stb could be its going through the motions but not loading as I purchased a new usb stick and went to flash one of my receiver and nothing happen, also try another hdmi cable. As your not sure of the origins of your stb (clone or not) can you find out from your dad where he purchased it from also if you google see if you can look at pictures of clone receivers and see if yours is the same.

As your receiver is showing the red/orange/green lights I think we can discount the red light of death where the receiver will not read the usb stick. another option maybe you can try is via null modem cable connected to your lappy/pc and install the image via vu util proggy if you wish to look at this method I can take you through it
