I know i can get more satellites

Use the built-in list of satellites in the ViX image. That's what I was getting at ;). Assuming you have set up the motor in your tuner config as a positioner and have your coordinates input correctly, then you just select a satellite from the list and perform a scan on it. Obviously, you need to pick satellites that can be received from your location - eg from about 56/60E to about 30W. I was wondering where you finally placed the dish and how far east and west you can receive.

ViX guide here from Rob here - http://www.openvix.co.uk/openvix-builds/***Guides and Tutorials***/VIX Manual Vs 1.1.pdf section 3.3.1.2 would be appropriate for your needs.

@abu - apologies, I know that this is in the ABM forum, but I was one of the responders when the OP was initially deciding on a motorised dish location, so I sort of knew that he was looking for sats beyond those covered by ABM.

no need to apologise, thread was in general chat to begin with. I'll move it out of ABM section until we know exactly what OP means to say.

OP must know how to scan conventionally because he said he does not want to do the long manual scan.

Fair enough! I know you know this already abu, but OP will have to do manual scans (or seek out motorised channel lists) for those sats not covered by ABM.
It's probably not realistic to keep extending ABM for those further eastern or western sats with limited channel lists (or poorly configured NIT tables or without home transponders). Or is it? The providers list handling on my MB Twin which I use as my motorised receiver is already a little slow.

Thanks man sorry lads

If this is relevant..........

As covered in the manual.
To scan multiple satellites together (not using ABM),

Menu > Setup > Service Searching > Manual Scan > Select tuner which has access to the multiple satellites

Drop down one line to "type of scan", change to "multisat". You will then be presented with satellites that your system is configured to receive (software wise).

Enable the satellites you want to scan. Press Green to initiate the scan. It will take a while.
