Dear all,
got a problem when using ImageBackup on NFS drive (but OK on USB-drive):
Platform: Vu+ Duo 4K SE / OpenVIX latest
Reproducible: 100% on NFS automount with root_squash
Steps:
1. Set backup destination to NFS automounted path
2. Run Image Backup
Result:
- imagebackups/ created with drwxr-xr-x (ok)
- imagebackups/openvix-vuduo4kse-release-mount: drw-r--r-- (WRONG - missing x bit)
- imagebackups/openvix-vuduo4kse-release-temp: drw-r--r-- (WRONG - missing x bit)
- Backup fails with makedirs/permission error in doBackup1
Root cause:
os.makedirs() called with mode=0o444 instead of 0o755 for temp/mount dirs.
On local disk root ignores permission bits — bug is invisible.
On NFS with root_squash, mapped UID cannot enter directories without x bit.
Fix: Change makedirs mode to 0o755 for mount and temp subdirectories.
Can one please direct me in the right direction? Would like to get this issue fixed, since I run a diskless receiver
best regards
