Hey guys

Looking for a bit of help regarding this issue

I recently got a brand new hdd and put it into box.

Did initialise then convert ext3 to ext4

But Everyday I have needed to manually mount hdd to view contents on hdd.

I had a look for logs there 3 plus a crash log I noticed which occur at 5am when no-one was using the box.

PS build number is 017 - I had entered this and then helios in other section and saved it then helios appears in both sections - it wont let me edit and save changes

Did you previously have a network mount set up as the HDD?
Code:
mount: can't find 192.168.0.29:/media/hdd in /etc/fstab

I have gigablue using vu duo HDD and vu duo using gigablue HDD via network mount the misses switches duo off during the night so that might've caused the crashlog??

Any ideas why I am having to Mount internal HDD on gigablue?

The crash was a CrossEPG error, hopefully just a once off?
As for the mounts, I'd set them up again using AutoFS. That way, if either box is offline neither will have any network issues.

Thanks mate I'll test that for the next couple of days and see what happens

Thanks again

Wait... Just read this again...

My main issue is the hdd on giga need to be mounted everyday - surely network mounts wouldn't affect this?

It's trying to mount your network drive as your HDD.
Code:
mount: can't find 192.168.0.29:/media/hdd in /etc/fstab

Set up the mounts again & use AutoFS for the networked ones.

Ahhh I see what your saying
