New to VU+ hangs in boot screen

I picked up a VU+ since I was interested in the tech and am a complete novice.

Now when I boot I see the Openvix screen and it says

"This is the last image for the 3.2 branch, Next image must be installed using Image Manager or USB stick"

It seems to hang there and do nothing.

I tried creating a USB boot device (Linux and Windows) for the latest Openvix but the same thing happens. I followed the instructions to create the usb based on the latest version

What could I be doing wrong?

Usb stick must be fat32 format.
what files have you copied to the usb stick?

I made sure it was FAT32 and I still see the same problem.

I copied the vuplus folder from openvix-6.6.001.release-vuduo2_usb.

When I put the USB back in my computer I can see some new directories on the usb (timeshift, System Volume Information and movie).

unzip the file directly to the usb stick.
