So i just updated to 3.0-370 from 339 via the online update,
and still i have no VIX option in the menu or via the blue button short or long press...
anyone any ideas..
short blue press is cross epg or picture in picture, long blue press is plugins..


is there a another way of flashing/clearup the flash memory?

If the box is flashed properly to the latest VIX image, short blue press should be Extensions choice, long blue press should be Plugin Browser.
Short blue/Vix or menu/Setup/VIX gives you the VIX menu options.

flash the box directly to 3.0-364 then do the online update.

short press blue should show as in picture 1.

menu> setup shows as in picture 2.

It would seem that way but,
all im doing is putting the image on my usb ,put it into the box, turn the box on
wait for it to say remove usb and reboot.
is the another way ,

i will give that a go in the morning ,direct to 3.0-364

my menu after pressing the blue are not like that image you show.
i get same as image 2 but no VIX at the bottom.
and no softcam,vix or log manager in image 1

Well, that's pretty odd.
Are you using the image on an original box?
If the correct menu options aren't showing, maybe try downloading & re-flashing again.

Hi ,yes its an original ,ive had it just over 2years
i have flashed it many times before with the vix image over usb with no problems.
and about 5 times in the last day ,with different images even dare i say it a blackhole
one but i soon took that off ,lol
but still no VIX option

One thing i have noticed is when i switch the box on and off with the switch on the back quickly say 5 seconds ,
The red light stays on hdd spins but it wont boot.
I have resorted to pushing in the button on the front and then switching it on ,then letting go of the button,

been reading about a capacitor change on the MB
may give that a go as a last resort.

I take it this unit is a genuine unit?
where did you buy it from?
did you download the vix image from this site?
