Did you install NFS from the network menu?

No. I have installed nothing in addition (except the image itself). But to be honest I dont know what you mean. Where exaxtly is this "NFS install"? In the network menu? I can´t find it. Do I need this? I dont want to use the Box for a NFS Server. I just want to connect my NFS-Shares of the NAS.

And what about the Fan control?

And what about the fan control? Why is the fan always switched off when the box is in Stand-by mode? I cannot change this behaviour with the fan control. Toggle On/Off has no effect. I just want to keep the fan alive in Standby.

Quick question, I want to add rmtp streams to my bouquets. I want to add a few and adding through the addurl plugin is tedious. Where is the file to add through my computer. Will these disappear every time autobouquets updates.

hello i have been suckered in to up grading to the newest image thinking all is ok because i can now restore my settings via my installed internal hard drive but i can no longer see my samba folder on my windows xp machine so i cannot edit the vu duo using notepad++ can you please list all the files to manually copy on to a usb stick please.... (I can see the vuduo using firefox) i have tried turning off the security but still no samba

plus i have tried to use a pen drive with a bootable copy of ubuntu running on my laptop to gain access using putty i input my ip address & i am straight on to my box i input the user name root & then a password is asked for i have never set a password for this vuduo (i know that’s bad from reading on here) i have tried the following defaults 0000 toor passwd etc but no joy.

i am going to flash back to a known good image & restore the box then if some nice chap gives me a list of all the files / locations to backup to a usb i will do that then reflash it back to the newest image & then copy the files back on to the box if i can access it as i cannot at the moment even after a reflash to the newest image & not doing a restore

i did see on this forum a chap had said you could download a plugin for resetting the password but i could not find it :fart2: sorry if anyone could point me in the right direction as i am still learning about this box & software etc :baby: unfortunately i am not up to your speed of 10mins job done

by default, there is no password, just leave it blank.
also, you can ftp into the box & still use notepad++ to edit any files...

Hi I have updated to latest image openvix-3.0.653 and I have noticed that when you are watching a channel and if you click on the right arrow ">" on the remote this brings up the info bar now if you enter a channel number for example 520 to display this on the screen this no longer working. This used work in build 589 in that you were able enter the number select "OK" from the remote to check the info details about that channel and it is no longer there in the later versions. Could this feature be added back please I miss it greatly.

with the use of the autobouquetmaker to update the channel list, this does not display the channel number. Is it possible to include the display of the channel number as well along with the channel name, as this really helps in remembering channel numbers that move. This feature would be greatly welcomed and appreciated.

channel numbers should be shown in Channel list if you have not changed the default option.

I am referring to channel numbers not being displayed on the info bar, at the moment the info bar only displays the channel name and no channel number is shown. Is there a way to show the channel number as well on the info bar?

Is there any chance of updating the standard ViX night HD skin to include the channel number on the info bar? Also is there anyway to get the channel number displayed on the front of the box as well liked it used to be?
