[ET5x00] No mytube in feeds

[baltazzar]

Hi

MyTube player doesn't appear in the downloadable extensions.
Is it possible to install it manually? How to do?

THX

PS: openvix 3.0 build 331

[Rob van der Does]

MyTube isn't available due to licensing issues.

[baltazzar]

a license for the youtube videos?....strange

thanks for your answer

[Rob van der Does]

a license for the youtube videos?

No, for the plugin.

[Larry-G]

as pointed out by rob, the author of the plugin has imposed certain license restrictions on the plugin, namely that no receiver other than a genuine Dreambox running a genuine dreambox image can use it, so we can not carry the plugin in our feeds.

yes if you can get the mips32el version but as i said we cant provide it via our feeds because of license restrictions.

no, not as far as i can remember from the last time i used the plugin. it should just be a case of install the plugin as any other then launch it.

Be advised that in the meantime WebMedia 9.1 is available via the feeds; in there is a.o. mytube embedded.

nice one buddy will give that a try can u still download the vids to ur hard drive ??

[Rob van der Does]

I have no idea.

[marty]

Mytube is working on OPENMIPS 2.0 on Gigablue Quad

EDIT: Also working on VIX Gigablue Quad but you cannot download the vids (view only)
I'm guessing it "might" work on other E2 boxes.

MOD's am I allowed to post a link?

[Rob van der Does]

Yes you are.
And on the feeds we have WebMedia; that contains a.o. a fully working version of MyTube.

Here's the link.
